| An Italian guy driving a white Jeep with New Jersey plate number asked me for direction to Lincoln tunnel on the corner of fifth Avenue and 26th street on 10/10/2011. After that he told me he would give me a gift of three Armani Jackets as he need to fly to return back to Italy that night. He works for Giorgio Armani in Italy and his money was stolen at the club and he need to pay for the rental car when he gets to Airport. He showed me his passport and ticket say that to give him $500 to cover his cost and will give me the 3 jackets. I told him i don't have any cash and felt sad that he acted so distress so i told him, i can go home since i don't live far and i can scrap to give you $250 and when you get to Italy call me so we can find a rightful buyer for your jackets since i wouldn't like to rip anyone off just b'se he has lost his money. I was actually thinking of giving him the money without taking his jackets, but he insisted that he will have to pay taxes if he take the jackets back to Italy. I began to be suscpicious as he was changing his stories from working for Gorgio Armani to a businessman. But i was determine to help the guy, So I gave him $260 and there he goes. Fortunately, he is on my building camera from the point he came into the building, inside Elevator and leave the house. After he left I went online to see if he is not a scam Artist. I could not believe reading the same story from other people who came across this guy. The question is, should i report this guy as he is clearly captured in our building camera and probably he is a known scam artist and deserve to be in NY1. He takes advantage of people good faith for his greedy and selfishness. Not knowing that that is not a way to make a living, scaming people. |

| Guys.. I got robbed by this guy on Dec 15th in Parsippany, NJ.. He has changed his identity.. New name is Enrco.. Driving around White volkswagen..He gave me the exact same story of returning back to Italy..I got 3 jackets for 200$.. Good thing is I got his mobile number.. After reading your posts I called him back and he picked up.. Told him I need 3 more jackets.. Since I was able to reach this guy, I went to police to register a complaint.. But they refused to accept this case as there is no 'Crime' that has happened.. Since I gave the money willingly it's not a crime.. It's CRAP.. This guy is going around cheating people and they have the mobile number to track him..Still they don't want to take any action as there is no crime.. I feel terrible.. Its hurting more if we think that we tried to help this guy and he took me for a ride.. Now, will you be ready to nab this guy.. I have his mobile number.. Anyway we can track him or call him to one place?.. Any body interested? |

| Just bought 4 jackets from the same guy with the same story about 3 hours ago, he was driving a silver Mercedes. Asked for directions to Newark airport, don't care if hes a scam artist. $150 for 4 jackets. well worth it. |

| "Giovanni" in Vegas - Yup, got me too! BEWARE. I will spare the embarrassing details. I've never been scammed before - and am a way too trusting guy (no more). DON'T FALL FOR IT. Just grab the jackets, punch him in the face - he's just a skinny little shit - and then throw the jackets under your car as you skid away over them - hopefully destroying them. If you have a truck or SUV you might want to consider bashing his rental vehicle in the side. At the very least take out your tire iron and break all the glass. I doubt he will come after you while you have a tire iron in your hand and the look of rage on your face. |

| hahah wow ! so i googled this brand on the jacket i was like hmm.. Yep ! just met Giovanni here in Vegas around summerlin asking me for directions to the airport.. same story as everyone else not wanting to pay taxes... he said he'd give me 3 jackets if i gave him some american currency as a gift for his kids.. since i told him how to get to the airport... I only had $45 on me at the time, he ended up giving me the jacket of my choice for $45... I kind of like it... so I'm not too upset. Lol... |

This guy just tried to rip me off me with the 'designer' leather jacket scam. He approached me in the Town Center Shopping Center parking lot saying he was lost, trying to find the rental car return facility. Since I was leaving and headed that way I told him to follow me to the rental car facility approx 1 mile away. He was so appreciative that he told me he was in Vegas for the MAGIC fashion convention and he worked for Georgio Armani in Italy. He offered to give me an Emporio Armani jacket for my trouble; so he wouldn't have to pay the import tax getting back into Italy. I told him it wasn't necessary but he insisted and then offered to give me 3 EA jackets because he was so thankful. He then told me some story on how he spent all his cash on the 'excesses' of Las Vegas and would like to take his 5 year old son a new iPhone back to Italy and asked if I would buy it for him. I was puzzled and looked at the jackets closer to notice the Emporio Armani logo was not real; not to mention the cheap leather jacket smell coming from the packages. I told him I didn't believe the jackets were authenic and that I would not buy him an iPhone but could show him to the rental car facility if he needed help. He rambled on with some Vegas stories and his life in Italy. He appeared nervous and actually gave me the 3 jackets and asked me to show him the way. Seemed too bizarre for it not to be a scam and after a quick search the web for the fake EA brand, I found stories of those who fell victim to this scam. He told me his name was Gianluca Rosario. |

We just had the same situation with a guy claiming he needed directions to the airport. Once we gave him directions, he offered us a present of 3 jackets and wanted a cash gift for his kids birthday. My friend purchased the jackets for $100. $33 a jacket. They don't smell very good though. |

| Just had the same experience in the UK and like a fool I parted with some cash; two leather jackets, a suede jacket, a wool jacket and a suit. I can't imagine how dumb I've been. He wanted directions to London Heathrow and I answered in Italian and then came the 'offer'. I've landed up with some nice clothes I don't really need at a fraction of the price but they are NOT Armani even though he said they were. 'EA Collection'...how could I have been so damned naive. It had been a rough day and I was rather depressed. Now how do I explain this to my beloved other half? She will be furious! |

| I've just had the same experience in the UK at a gas station. Some guy asked in Italian the way to Heathrow and I answered in Italian. He then 'offered' me some 'free jackets' and added in a suit, saying they were Armani and that he was a rep en route for Milan via Heathrow. I looked at the jackets and they fitted; two leather jackets, a wool jacket, a suede jacket and he said he would give them to me and would I like the suit, retail price $1900 and I could have it for half price. I didn't have that amount on me but parted with about £400 and since the day had been a rough one, and I was very depressed and driving through the snow and mist, my judgement was obviously not working. What an idiot. How do I explain these new items to my other half? She will be furious especially since I have a very large collection of good clothes anyway! Damn fool and feeling worse now that I looked up 'EA' Collection on the internet and found this website. Sucker!!! How did he see me for one, for I am normally very cynical, careful and cautious!!! |

| This guy told my dad the same story. My dad went to the ATM and when he was leaving this guy approached him and told him that he was italian and the rest of his story. The guy was sharp and well dressed so he didn't thought it was a scam, he told him that he was giving 3 jackets for free because he didn't wanted to pay taxes. After that he told him that he had another jacket but that one was wort it $1000 so he asked for 400, but my dad told him he didn't have any money. The guy saw that he had just taken money from the ATM and my dad said he only had $100, so he gave him that. This guy was last seen at McAllen, TX, near Best Buy (Jackson). We found it it was a scam thanks to this page, because I was looking for the brand of the jackets. |

Same story he's back in las vegas caught me in calloway golf center parking lot. Febuary 15.
I paid 125.00 dollars for 3 jackets. they may be nock-offs but it seems that even k-mart would charge more than him, they must be stolen because how could he buy even cheap leather jackets and sell them at that price? confused but not unhappy with the purchase. How come I didnt get to meet the girl she sounds

| Well folks warn your friends he's still here in Vegas ...lets see my boyfriend invested in his company too $100.00. Giovanni wanted $1000.00 my boyfriend is a car boy Giovanni got $100.00. In Vegas that's nothing (it's still $100.00 dollars) Apparently he's pretty good at what he does cause my boyfriend is pretty slick and he went for the ride. He is now the new owner of 3 new jackets so I guess it could have been worse. I've walked into casino's and dropped more than that and left with nothing to show for my loss, so I guess he came out ahead. It all comes out in the wash, I wouldn't want to have Giovanni's Karma. | Ok. Sad to say, but I got scammed yesterday in Vegas. Paid 200 bucks for 3 jackets. Same story as everyone else. The fact is that I wish I paid 100 bucks like a gentlemen up above and I wish this jacket didn't smell like Gasoline! FML...Either way, I do like the jacket, but I overpaid for sure! Needless to say, these guys had a great story with a good looking product. We all got fucked, but I was able to save another customers money today. Today I left my hotel with my jackets at The Palms and my luggatge and saw a person outside an SUV trying to sell an old man jackets. The scam artist was a different "Giovanii"...I yelled right away, don't do it, they are fake!!!" Then I tried to proceed towards the car, but he jumped in right away and took off! These guys have an entire operation and they are everywhere...If you know someone in New Jersey, Vegas or Texas, make sure your friends and their friends know. All in all, I hope this Gas smell on the jacket goes away cause I do like it! Again FML (which means FUck My LIfe!) |

| ok so this SHIT jus happened to me ...asked how to get to the airport cuz he was flying back to italy ...he said he was a model and had did a shoot at the local mall and they gave him the jackets for his bonus blah blah blah ...he wanted 450 at first but told him i only had a 100 ...so i got 3 jackets for 100 not bad compared to some of these other stories ...he was prolly pissed cuz i opened my wallet and he saw i had more money ...he mentioned it to ...but i told him they were jus ones ...fukin pussy |
