| An Italian guy driving a white Jeep with New Jersey plate number asked me for direction to Lincoln tunnel on the corner of fifth Avenue and 26th street on 10/10/2011. After that he told me he would give me a gift of three Armani Jackets as he need to fly to return back to Italy that night. He works for Giorgio Armani in Italy and his money was stolen at the club and he need to pay for the rental car when he gets to Airport. He showed me his passport and ticket say that to give him $500 to cover his cost and will give me the 3 jackets. I told him i don't have any cash and felt sad that he acted so distress so i told him, i can go home since i don't live far and i can scrap to give you $250 and when you get to Italy call me so we can find a rightful buyer for your jackets since i wouldn't like to rip anyone off just b'se he has lost his money. I was actually thinking of giving him the money without taking his jackets, but he insisted that he will have to pay taxes if he take the jackets back to Italy. I began to be suscpicious as he was changing his stories from working for Gorgio Armani to a businessman. But i was determine to help the guy, So I gave him $260 and there he goes. Fortunately, he is on my building camera from the point he came into the building, inside Elevator and leave the house. After he left I went online to see if he is not a scam Artist. I could not believe reading the same story from other people who came across this guy. The question is, should i report this guy as he is clearly captured in our building camera and probably he is a known scam artist and deserve to be in NY1. He takes advantage of people good faith for his greedy and selfishness. Not knowing that that is not a way to make a living, scaming people. |

Today I met Roberto in the Grand Prairie, Tx area, same story.
He asked first $400, I told him that a I did not have that amount.
He said that he needed to go back to Italy and he was not willing to pay taxes at the airport for that merchandise.
So I told him that I had $200 but I needed to go to the bank, so he gave me 4 jackets and followed me to the bank.
At the bank I told him that I only had $150 available, and if he wanted I could give the jackets back to him...he looked dispaired and accepted that amount...after that he told me if I had $20 extra... I told him NO!!!
The jackets look decent...I am offering to my XXL friends for $50...So at the end it was not a bad thing!!! |

| I just got ripped off by this guy in Salt Lake City. So now he is in Utah. He had a rental car from hertz. He told me that he was robbed and needed $165 to change his ticket on Delta to leave back to Italy as soon as possible (He leaves November 21st). He showed me his passport and his plane tickets. He gave me 3 EA collection Italy Style Jackets and a biz card (His name says M. Alfonso on the biz card). He also said he was going to send me the money when he got home so I gave him my phone number and my email address (oops). He was so believable but it is way to close to everyone else's story to be real. So he is on the move to the west coast. Watch out everyone! |

| same story today 11/10/2011 i think i just got scammed by the same guy here in hicksville long island. I was at the dolar store next to the gas station and he pulled up asking for directions to jfk airport. So i helped him out, then he went on saying that he was a designer for Armani at the Mall in hicksville and said he wanted to gee me gift for helping. Three jackets that they gave to him as a gift, but he didn't want to pay taxes taking them back to italy and needed money to help pay for a rental car. 'he drove a new bmw x3 in gray or blak jeep or blaser . i was feeling bad for him i onestly try to help him I gave hime $200 for the three jackets. . I can't remember his name but he is the same guy hi is around 40 years old |

Same story, I paid 300.00 bucks for 4 jackets. He was in upstate NY (Orange County) @ around 4:00 PM today Actually the jackets I got are really nice, It sounded like a bull shit story but I liked the jackets so I bought them anyway. Not bad for around 70.00 bucks each! |

Just coming from A, C. from a show said he got jumped the night befor and they took all his money, he followed me home and i gave him $ 600 for two swade and four leather jACKITS and even gave him a beer!! He gave me his phone # and address on Rome italy!! If he was a scame artist ? He was very good!!!he had a tattoo with the name Maria on his chest that he sad he got in polonisea for his daughter!! |

| I guess this Italian Franchise has opened up in Las Vegas. I was coming out of a bank when an Italian man named "Rapffaele.M" approached me asking for directions to the airport. He first asked me if I spoke Italian but when I said I did not, he spoke in English. He said he had been in town for two weeks at a convention at the Bellagio. He was driving a blue SUV rental car and said he needed money to pay for the rental car at the airport. He said I "seemed like a nice guy" and wanted to do me a favor. He said he had 9 jackets worth $1000 each and wanted to sell them or he would have to pay taxes on them when he went back to Italy. He offered 9 jackets for $500 but when I said I did not have that, he asked how much I had. I pulled $90 out of my wallet and said that was all I had. So he offered me 3 jackets for the $90 and said it wasn't going to change his life anyway. I figured it was a scam, but the jackets seem nice and my girl likes them so all in all, it wasn't a bad deal. |

| Yep I got scammed too. He made it to Vegas... I did not realize it until I got home and my new leather jackets smelled like fresh vinyl WTF ! I am laughing my ass off because I was at Firehouse subs Flamingo/215 and he pulled up asking for directions to the airport. I gave him directions then he asked me my jacket size offerred me a jacket said he was from Milan and was here for a trade show. Long story short I paid $300 for the shiny jackets that are going to Goodwill in the am. My Bad, this clown got me and I even emailed him to make sure he caught his flight. If zIsee this punk again he will catch my right hand coming at his Armani head. |

I saw him yesterday in Queens. The same story: this time he was looking for JFK. I bough 4 jackets for $300. By the way someone is selling the same jackets on the web. I wander if it is the same guy. The link is below
