HRP staffing HRP hospital recruiting partners Scam, waste of time, asking for money, not a real address Plaistow, New Hampshire |
13th of Jul, 2011 by User345277 |
I was contacted by this company to help them with their "outreach, marketing, and business development" efforts. HRP staffing is supposedly a recruitment agency that finds medical personal to fill in positions at hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical facilities. I was given the address to a "webinar interview." Once I logged in, I noticed that there were 130 other "interviewees" in the "audience" with me. This was the first suspicious part of this whole situation. What kind of "interview" includes 130 people at a time? After the presenter went through 40 minutes of presenting about the work the company does, the catch came at the end. So, in addition to ONLY getting paid when you actually fill a position at a hospital, you have to PAY HRP staffing to even start working. They ask for an initial payment of $350 because they need to cover the costs of their IT department and database entry software. I've never had a job where I had to PAY the company to actually start working FOR them. So I am pretty sure these guys are scammers and they get desperately unemployed individuals to pay them. Since they are in a different state, it will most likely will be hard to pursue them and see what's going on. In fact, their address is a P.O. Box 972 Plaistow, NH 03865. Once you google map it and take a look, there is nothing actually there... AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS |

I jus got the email earlier today at about 3:00pm and of course I always look at the email ending to see if there is a phone number, address, name and business title. What I found at the end of this unbelievable email was not enough to make me believe this was a genuine offer. So I googled the company after seeing the fake email address. The website didn't look too advanced or like much work was actually put into it, so I googled "hrp staffing scam" and this website popped up. I'm glad there are websites out there like this one. I don't care how desperate you may be for a job, you still shouldn't have 2 pay someone else 2 find you one. Plus when you think about it, if you do pay someone, that's money you've lost because you being out of work means you can't replace what you've wasted on a scam!
Please be careful and always search the companies you know you didn't apply for and those that look suspicious. Happy safe job hunting! |

I also sat in on the webinar and needing a job I paid the money (knowing better). I received a phone call from the "company" with my user name and password for the next training. I sat though it and they make it look very convincing with their website. After the call I could find the links to the training material when I logged back in to the recruiter login page. My husband and I started really digging in. I searched the phone number that was on my caller ID and it was a Vancouver, BC phone number. We also found this scammer site. I called my credit card company and they reversed the $179 charge and canceled my credit card number and sending me a new one.
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS COMPANIES SCAM! |

Has anyone actually been employed by HRP Staffing and as a result scammed |

Hello and thanks for the info about this HRstafing. I have also been getting text for interviews with a company that want me to do accounting work for them. They said they would be provided training and a company computer, however I would need $650 to buy the right software for it to work and they would reimbursed me on the the first paycheck. AS an IT person no company is going to send you a computer with out software they run and they know it is installed properly. Plus they would get a better deal and more support buying packages.
So do not fall for this either.
Good Luck to us all. |

This is a great site. I signed up earlier today for tomorrow's "web interview", but glad I didn't have to sit through 40 minute scam. |

So thankful I found this site. Thanks guys and gals. I got their email as well and I was sweating because one of my unemployment insurance questions I have to answer each week to get my check is "Did you refuse any offer of work or fail to go for a scheduled job interview?" I have a strict conscience (I'm working on this) and even though it was only scheduled from their end, it still made me anxious to think I would have to say "no" to get my check. Now I feel I can say no with a clear conscience. It almost seems like the creators of this scam are trying to put pressure on people who receive UI. If that is true, then this is really insidious. Finding a site like this helps restore confidence in people. We live in troubled times. God help us. Do the people involved in this scam have any sense of decency toward fellow Americans? |

Just as I thought! This is just like the HR Web recruiter jobs they are lofting into everyone's e-mails. They want you to pay for them too! A long time ago the temp recruiting companies cut out you paying and started billing for their fee in the bill to the company and paying you a salary. That is the closest I came to paying for a job in my whole life. Play with them if you like but I will not do anything but delete.
Thanks all:). |

I just sat in on the interview and believed they were a scam by the mans body language, but still listened. If they were not a scam they would take the "fee" from the first check. I have worked with many companies with proprietary information and had to sign a confidentiality form. This is a scam. Save your time and money and don't do it!!! |

They must have read this thread, because now they are on LinkedIn with ONLY TWO connections! |

**DETAILS ABOUT THE WEBINAR**
I received an email from someone who said they got my resume from their VP also. I had read these post already, but still I logged into the webinar because...hey, I wasn't doing anything else at 10:00 est.
The presenter advised that the company is one of the largest medical staffing firms based in MA & NH. He advised the company does direct permanent placement. He then advised that their company has an immediate need for employees. Their clients are hospitals and medical facilities throughout the country, and the staffing needs of their clients have grown at a tremendous rate - they [HRP] cannot handle the business. As a result, they are looking for Executive Recruiters.
None of the screens in the webinar are clickable, they are basically screenshots. He has an internet camera he uses to communicate with and a presentation done in MS Word that he periodically scrolls through.
He goes on to describe the job duties of an ER (basically to find and qualify candidates for the company), and advised that ER's will have access to HRP's database. He makes certain he advised that ER's do not need to contact any clients, HRP will take care of the clients themselves. He then advised that training starts this "Wednesday, " but doesn't give a date.
In an overview of the database, he says there are 20 "hot jobs" which are current jobs that need to be filled (since when is 20 an overwhelming number - unless you're talking about children). Then, he says he has another 50 on his desk that he needs to input. He then says there's another 100 or so that has to be migrated from a different system. *Keep in mind the database with the 20, that's the database ER's have access to.
There were over 200 people in my webinar, but in the small window that showed the picture of the muted microphone - well, only I had one. I don't know if I was the only person muted or if I could only see my own, or if I was the only real person in the meeting or what.
He also mentions that as an ER you are not actually an employee of HRP. You are an independent contractor. You will not be paid until you actually fill a position. He advised that you can make as much as $10, 500 for filling one position, but you have to "fill" the position first. Now, keep in mind your only contact is with the candidate, not the client, so you can't call after the interview to find out what went wrong when you candidate didn't get the job, or to get more specifics about what the client is actually looking for.
After that, I disconnected from the webinar. I knew from reading the previous post that it was a scam and that he would eventually get around to asking for money. And decided not to stick around an wait for the ending. Hopefully those of you who are curious about what they have to say have a bit more information now and will decide not to waste your time.
Though I cannot tell you the exact amount they request from you, I can tell this is a scam. I can tell you that recruiters have to establish a relationship with both clients and candidates. It as important to know the client as it is to know the candidate. You would at least be able to do a follow-up call. This company asks you to do nothing. NO CONTACT.
I recommend staying away from them. |

I am glad that I saw this online! I saw the email as well and it seemed fishy to me once I "scheduled" an interview. I find it very hard to believe that a staffing agency received my resume to easily. |
|
|
Any one who paid for this should take HRP Staffing to small claims court and get your money back!! |
|

I was just online for my interview when I found this site. They started the interview 10 min late... I was already irritated by that alone. Then I found this site. I would NEVER, NOT EVER, Pay anyone to work. The point of a job is they are supposed to pay YOU. Thanks for posting. It only cost me about 15 min of my life instead of the full 40. |
|
|
I suggest that we go to one of their "interviews" and start spamming the webinar with links like this! lol |
