Adorama Adorama pretends to have items and then sends partial orders of useless junk New York, New York |

I ordered a set of Lyson ink--7 colors needed to use in my printer. All colors were listed on website and none as out of stock or back ordered. Received email confirmation that stated I would be contacted if there was a problem with my order. Did not contact me but emailed me they were only sending 2 colors of the ink (yellow and pink--$46.40). Cannot use them as I need a whole set, cannot mix and match ink types --bad for printer and prints! Both Adorama and UPS refuse to stop shipment so paypal cannot promptly refund and I must jump through more hoops to get my money back!!! Rotten Liars do not buy from them!!! |

What did they lie about? Apparently you have never worked in a distribution center before in your life, so you have no idea how it works, or what you are even complaining about. It is a complicated process, but to dumb it down for you, so even you can follow...here you go.
Just because the item(s) show in stock on the web doesn't mean they are in stock on the shelf at the DC. There are lots of variables; possible inventory cycle count adjustments or discrepancies, damaged during any one of the steps to complete your order by a picker or packer, item could have been stocked incorrectly, mislabeled by the vendor, and even employee theft or what we like to call shrink.
As for the you getting 2 colors out of 7 is probably due to the fact that most companies ship what they have available unless the customer asks for the order to be held and ship complete. That way you at least get some of what you requested and the rest will ship when it comes in. I have dealt with Adorama in the past and they have been nothing but awesome. If you aren’t happy return the 2 pcs, cancel your back order (5pcs) and go someplace else!! Your point is invalid… |

Thank you, Tellinlikeitis
I did try to explain to the customer that once an item is within the postal system, it isn't actually possible for USPS to identify an individual package and bring it back to us. Had he selected UPS or FedEx shipping then we would certainly have done so, right away.
Updating the website was an oversight due to unforeseen family illness of the the administrator responsible The customer has since been refunded in full by PayPal, but has refused my offer of a $25 coupon code off a future order from Adorama.
I tried my best, but for some customers I appreciate that it isn't always going to be enough.
