its funny that post from upchurch, how i chuckled, it says on previous posts that he has nothing to do with the company and he was only a consultant, then the stupid idiot comes out and admits it was all basically a lie and he is the boss, also see this link http://www.zoominfo.com/people/Joe/Upchurch anyway just thought it was brilliant saying we are all above board... but hey dont worry im the lier in charge. hahahahahahahahahahah fucking brilliant. UPCHURCH YOU ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER AND WE WILL FIND YOU TO GET OUR MONEY, BEWARE OF THE BIG FUCKER FOLLOWING YOU DOWN THE STREET BECAUSE ONE DAY IT WILL BE ME. |
|
|
I would love to get in touch with both of them as the owe me money and by chance have yet again disappeared of the face of the earth...what goes around comes around Upchurch!!! |
|
|
They aren't hiding! they are in Brisbane, starting other companies. |
|
|
I have been caught by this scam. If anybody else who is also a victim is interested in joining forces, please get in touch. I'm not sure what we can do, but together we can inevitably achieve more than on our own.
Please only get involved if you want to be constructive about it. All this "we know where you are Upchurch and we're going to break your legs" sounds like a school playground and is a bit pathetic.
Please post on this forum, or email me at [email protected]

I have invested in phase 2 of moringa in mozambique and i got this letter by email, has anyone been contaced like this? have they got back to you yet?
22nd March 2012
Dear Investor,
MORINGA OLEIFERA PROJECT IN MOZAMBIQUE
I write to you in relation to your investment in our Moringa Oleifera “Miracle Tree” project in Mozambique.
Due to the fact I was involved in the original formation of this project, I am now working with the Client Relations Team and taking responsibility for the communication with every investor to ensure there are no misguided communications or seeming lack of contact with Insight Group PLC.
In early 2010, I worked with a landowner in the Sofala Province of Mozambique to purchase a 50-year lease for 10, 000 hectares of land on an option agreement.
This was signed and a significant amount of money was sent by Insight Group PLC to the land owner to secure the agreement and to obtain all the necessary permits required so that we could begin to get the project moving and provide our investors with every opportunity of a return as per the schedule.
Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, the relationship between Insight Group PLC and the land owner deteriorated. Despite the best efforts of the Project Team (and visiting Mozambique numerous times), we experienced delay after delay in relation to the plantation. Whilst works did commence, it was obvious very quickly that the results were not going to meet our expectations or that of any investor. The land owner simply did not have the commitment to the project or the necessary people around him to allow for Platinum Management to successfully carry it through.
At this point in time, our concerns heightened and we were forced to consider the prospect that this relationship would not only discontinue but the project could not remain on this section of land as it jeopardised the opportunity for all investors to see a return. Likewise, it jeopardised the financial stability of the company.
Insight Group PLC worked extremely hard to rectify the situation however we were marred by barrier after barrier legally in Mozambique and our apparent desperation to move the project location quickly meant the terms we were offered on alternative lease agreements were extravagant. Ultimately this would have led to the complete failure of the project and losses for Insight and our investors.
Platinum Management were able to utilise their extensive and high profile contacts in the Republic of the Gambia to establish a lease agreement which would not only allow Insight Group PLC to launch a new cutting-edge project – BIO E-GRASSTM – but to rectify the issues in Mozambique. obtained the necessary land and began to work hard on the plantation of Moringa Oleifera to which we have been very pleased with the results achieved to date. We also have a particularly strong relationship with the port authorities and relevant transportation bodies which proved to be a significant problem in Mozambique.
The Gambian local governments, chief of the village, local law enforcement and importantly the local employees are all working with Insight and Platinum to achieve one goal – to ensure the maximum number of seeds is generated for every hectare allocation of land invested in.
It is for this reason that I would ask you to put your confidence back into this project by immediately moving your land allocation to the Gambia.
In return for this, you are assured in our ongoing commitment to see the growth of the Moringa Oleifera project in a region that whole heartedly supports foreign investment, rather than hinders it.
Our internal legal team will be in contact with you shortly to discuss your intentions and if you are willing to take your specific hectare allocation of land in the Gambia; in place of Mozambique.
I appreciate that this information will be disappointing for some. However, having spoken to many investors already I also know that there are a vast majority of investors who welcomed the news and are relieved to hear that their original confidence in Insight Group PLC was not in vein.
Finally, I would ask that anyone who has concerns in relation to the above contact me directly. The focus for all involved needs to be getting the projects back on track and provide all investors with every opportunity to achieve a return.
You may contact me at any time via [email protected] or the legal team at [email protected].
Please appreciate that there are many investors who are affected by the above and there will of course be an influx of calls and emails to myself and the Client Relations/Legal Departments. I would like to thank you in advance for your patience whilst we work hard to respond to all investors.
To assist us in the interim, it would be beneficial if you could please complete the form on the following page and return via email (to [email protected]) or fax (+44 845 680 8714) to allow us to gain a clear understanding as to your intentions so we may adequately prepare for our discussions with you.
I will be in touch within the next 10 working days for a further update where I hope to report on the commitment of a large majority of investors to move their allocation to the Gambia.
Regards,
Joseph Upchurch

Hi Pzs 23, unfortunately I have invested with insight plc. Called the cape town office today, usual thing about all in meetings etc. I ask where ray pearson was and the receptionist she had never met him.
Really worried so how can we take this forward? There must be more of us out there? |
|
|
Yes trinity, I got the same letter. I have emailed and phoned but radio silence.
Wot's going on? |

Mason149 you and every other investor are involved in a very elaborate scam, unfortuantly as investors you will continue to deny this to yourselves and carry on believing what is said by the management of Insight. This is human behavior and you will not be alone in the denial but believe me, THIS IS NOT GOING TO END WELL. I am not writing this as a disgruntled employee either present or past, i write this as i have come across the upchurches before and this is their modus operandi. Take from this post as you will but i would suggest you sell the investment asap, and ask yourself this one question, if the plantation is so good to pass onto retail clients at a 15% return, then why would the company not buy back your investment as a show of good will and keep it themselves and make the 15% return? My feeling is that insight group know this isnt a long term project, I will happily stand corrected but its going to take a lot of convincing. Good luck all. |

Hi burnt,
I'll take your email on board.
But Sell to whom? Anyone fancy some hectares in Mozambique or is it Gambia ?
Have these guys already disappeared? Where the fu** is vance bladon? |
|
|
Trinity and Mason149, that's the same email letter that a number of us have received.
If you are interested in pursuing this outside this forum, please email me at [email protected]. I'm no expert, just another naive investor, but there are several of us already and I have a feeling the number's going to grow.
We have access to some advice, and although my hope's aren't high I think we should put up a fight. |

Mason you should ask the company to sell your investment for you, as previous posters have said they cannot get enough (masked futures) so it should be easy for insight to sell on your investment to the back log of so called happy investors. Or maybe, and i think im right in saying this that masked futures is an employee of insight, if not then great you have yourself an easy sale Mason! Also how come Upchurch and his employees were on here previously saying how well the moringa project is doing in MOZ, then all of a sudden its not working, and relations have broken down, (mmm sounds a little like the bullshit that comes from Aston Lloyd) oh and guess what Upchurch was a director there also.
I think.. no scrap that i know this is a scam and its not going to end well and i can only hope that something can be done to the scamming pair over in Aus, i for one will be lodging a fraud complaint with the city of london police and they in turn will eventually have to contact their counterparts in Aus if there are enough complaints, and then with Joseph being only recently accepted into the country it should at least cause him some hassle for his future as he has caused the hassle here for some many futures!! |

how about the solicitors Immison and Co in London. Are they liable for any of this? some one from their office signed one of my contracts.
Equally, how about Platinum? we have signed a contract with them too of which they are also in breach? |
|
|
Come to think of it.
The Mozambique project was all put through Imison & Co.
The Gambia project was all put through the South African office with their internal lawyer.
= more sense to switch all the clients contracts to the Gambia project instead of the U.K contracts.

Not sure about that Bearnaise - this company has stitched us up already on one contract, why would we trust them a second time? Switching to a new contract with a company that no longer even answers the phone...? Could be a way of further reducing our chances of getting some money back. |
|
|
I fear trinity is right, I believe that Imison have realised what has happened and doesnt want to be involved anymore in this scam, If you call Imison you get no straight answers and as you have already said no one answers the phone at Insight, I have some contacts on the ground both in SA and Spain and the office in spain is gone.. but we knew this anyway from previous posts and the staff in SA were easy to find and they also have been laid off, they say that Upchurch is a nasty little character with no remorse and no care for anyone but himself, I have heard from various sources that he is very open about what he does and really doesnt care. I for one hope this is not true but i fear it is. I will keep hunting him down and get what im owed, but the question that keeps coming back to me is.. if he really was that concerned about his investors in this project then why has a investors meeting not been called, I would happily attend a meeting in London for him to put all our minds at ease, but again this will not happen because scammers do not work this way. |

The in-house (Internal) lawyer for Insight is my husband. He had no idea of what was going on. In fact, he is owed salary and other payments by the Insight. He (lawyer) sent lots of emails to Renee and Joseph, both failed to reply. Renee and Joseph have cut off all communication with my husband, and kept him in the dark. My husband resigned from a respectable position, as lawyer, in another jurisdiction, and relocated, this February to take up work with Insight on a full time basis. My husband will be willing to assist the FSA, as UK citizens are affected. My husband is currently compiling documents to bring a labour case against Insight, Joe and Renee, for recover what he's owed. He'll be glad to provide further advice (voluntarily) to all those affected. He has all records of the investment agreements (from October 2011 - Jan 2012). This is a total scam.. |

I have had three payments taken on my credit card by these people. I have never ordered anything. |
