Valley View Puppies
Valley View Puppies . Cindy Johnson Beware Buyers this lady Cindy Johnson from Valley View Puppies is a Scammer and a Puppy Mill Internet
20th of May, 2011 by User594189
I was looking for a nice quality male Maltese, and I stumbled across Cindy Johnson's website ( Valley View Puppies). The website looked like she was a responsible breeder and she emailed right back. I saw that she had a 7 month old male Maltese available. The description and the pictures looked like what I was looking for. She had all of the information about the puppy right there, That he was out of her best dogs, birthdate, he would get no bigger than 5 lbs, how current the pictures were, etc. I did ask her was he still available, she returned my email right away and replied yes he was and she would love for me to have him. She never talked to me on the phone, she just emailed me with an invoice, So she could get him shipped to me right away. Well I fell in the trap and I paid the money. So after that she didn't get back to me about shipping for around 3 days, so she did ship him. Now here is the scam, when I went to the airport to pick up this less than 5lb puppy. I was shocked This dog was huge. First of all the dog weighs around 10-12 pounds already not to mention the dog would not even let us touch him. He was snapping and barking at us. No socialization at all, he had never walk on the ground or grass before. His hair was stained yellow from urine and feces and matted. I could not believe it. How could this person be selling dogs like this and no one reported her. I called her right away, and told her that I was very unhappy and displeased. She said he does weigh 5lbs. I said Cindy that is not true. And further more he is in terrible condition, not socialize and crazy temperament etc. To make a long story short, she will not willing let me return (ship back at my expense) the dog and get a refund. So thank goodness I paid with paypal, so they are looking in to it. So even if I don't win she will have to wait to get the money!!! I didn't sign any contracts or anything, so if she tries to say I did she is lying. But I am going to continue to fight for what is right. If I am stuck with the dog I will have to give him to animal welfare, because I have children and this is not the proper family to work with a dog of that type. I do feel sorry for the dog!!!

I get home from the 4 hour drive from the airport to a phone call from this gal saying the puppy weighed 10 lbs and I said that was impossible he weighed only 5 lbs. She said that that was what the Airway Bill from the airlines said. I explained to her that that was the weigh of the carrier, paperwork, dog food and puppy, so the puppy only weigh 5 lbs or so. She said she wanted to send him back at her cost. I said that I was not going to be going back to the airport for a few weeks and she needed to let me think about it. Since I had just got home I needed to check on my puppies. When I got done she had already filed a dispute with paypal and I asked her why she said she was just trying to protect herself. I told her that even if I did refund her it would only be the $300 for the puppy and that she might be better off just selling him to a friend. I did not misrepresent him in any way - he was full grown and weighed 5 lb as I said. I was concerned about this transaction to begin with because all I received was one or two line emails. I have always been told that they are usually scams. The only thing she ever asked me was if she would received full AKC registration, never asked any other questions about him. My pictures were recent as well. She then started saying that he was in terrible condition which was not true - she refused to go to the Vet and get him weighed. Then she tells me the next day that she took him and he was so mean that they had to muzzle him and weighed 12 lbs. I had just taken him to my Vet the day of shipment and I had the techs and a friend there with me and the puppy did wonderful -- he did not have a mean bone in his body. I became very worried about the safety of this puppy and asked her to be nice to him. She certainly knew the right words to say to cause a problem. I received a response from paypal and they ruled in my favor and refunded my money. I feel her goal was to scam me by trying to get a full refund through paypal and say the she was going to ship him at her cost but ship him COD or not at all and I would have been out both ways. Her accusations have been very hurtful and totally untrue.
