The advertisment promises to be a life improvement, and cites that the diet food provided is good and wholesome, and that the method will work. The portion control does work, but the food is really disgusting, and after a while try as you may you will not be able to stay with it. You will egin to dread having to eat the food, and eventually will begin to feel really sick. When you call them to tell them that this food will not do, they will try to sell you even more expensisve food, proclaiming that this new food is much better, of course it is much more expensive. They put you onto an automatic re-order system, and this is the only way you will get the advertised discounts, but when you cancell because the food is so awful, you can't continue to eat it, they will take away that discount and recharge you the difference. This really is a scam, and a bad one, I got really sick trying to eat that disgusting food. It was either smothered in heavy tomatoe sauce to disguise the taste, or consisted of a teaspoon of chicken in half a cup of a mayonnaise type sauce. Beans and Rice consisted of seven (7) black beans in a container of soggy rice, the chicken breast tasted OK but it was an entree, and you have to supply the entire "rest of the meal". The Chicken and dumplings were so terrible I called Nutrisystem immediately I opened it. There was maybe a teaspoon of shreaded chicken , the rest of the meal consisted of round hard "dumplings" (round hard disc like lumps of dough) in a heavy congealed sauce, it was horrible and I threw it out, of course. When they say the meal has vegetables, there will be maybe three tiny cubes of carrot, two green beans, and sauce, so much sauce in everything. The fat content is high too, much higher than I am used to eating. So this meal system, does not cost what they proclaim it to cost, there is a lot to add, like vegetables, so their cost satements are completely false, and the food is really terrible. They will not refund anything, unless you send it back, and they will still charge you anyway for the discounts they promised up-front. I think that this system could work is they people running it were more honest, but the food would have to be improved, not in quantity but in quality, and they have to stop making false statements. Marie Osmond looks just gorgeous, but I believe she lost all that weight by training for "Dancing with the Stars", not on Nutrisystem, this is false advertsing. I believe that this Company is running a big scam, with cheap and nasty foods, and no real intention of giving a good service for very high costs. |
