Sun Gas Station - More Price Gouging Orlando, Florida |
31st of May, 2011 by User694661 |
I selected the Sun Gas Station outside the Orlando International Airport at 5600 Butler National because I needed to top off my Enterprise rental car. It was among several hotels and I did not search further to jeopardize my flight and security check-in. There was no price shown on the street or on top of the pumps. The price was shown in one inch LED where the product selection is made near the nozzle. I am not even sure the pump was tested by the Division of Weights and Measures to validate the amount dispensed was the amount being charged. I paid $5.799 per gallon on 05/31/2011. The top off was 5.863 gallons for $34.00. I have owned a condominium in Daytona Beach since 2004 and have never had any similar scam experience like this. I normally rent from Payless outside the airport and find the gasoline stations in that area much more reputable. I sincerely hope I can participate in any future prosecution of this company by the Attorney General, Airport Commission, or other parties choosing to bring litigation.

On June 25, 2011: We stopped at the Sun Gas Station as recommended by a lady at the toll booth on 528 into Orlando; when asked where the closest gas station was she said don't stop at exit 13 go to exit 11 Sun Gas has cheaper prices. Not knowing that she was not telling the truth, our group stopped to get gas and paid $5.79 per gallon. Just at the next exit noticed that the gas per gallon was $3.48. Even the gas at the Service Centers on I-4 were $3.48 +/-. Beware since we are not in a state of emergency do not think anyone will be watching this station or do anything about. |

Had the same problem with the same sun gas station on Butler national. they charged $6.00 a gal when the average in orlando at this time is $3.89. When I called and asked why they jacked uo their prices, he said because they are located by the airport and processed to hang up on me. WARNING DO NOT BUY GAS AT THIS STATION...not only over priced, but nasty employees. |
