CCGI contacted me (as parent) through mail to provide seminar for us to attend on Feb 24, 2007 at a Holiday Inn meeting room in Beaumont, Texas (approx 45 min away). We attended this seminar and liked the services they were offering to provide, so I paid $600 down and $600 on March 25, 2007 - totaling $1200. During this seminar, I was also advised that my two younger sons would also receive this service for an additional $300 each. I was advised this service would find scholarships for my daughter, enter daughter's information and paperwork, assist daughter with proofing the essay and providing advise, then file any appeals if necessary. Essentially this would free up our time from searching scholarships by finding all the scholarships (along with those that not everyone would know about), and they would do all the workfor us (aside from writing essays, etc). TCGIwould also continue providing this service thoughout her college years. My daughter started trying to contact CCGI to help her with schlolarship locations last year (2010) as she was a Junior in high school. She was having a difficult time contacting CCGI and I was constantly getting frustrated that she wasn't taking advantage of the opportunity I paid for by using CCGI. I then started doing some searching to find out that this company was a scan. I had done research before this seminar and found there were no complaints filed against company at the time I paid for their services. I would like my money back ($1200) along with the $600 I would have paid for sons' use along with any more punitive damages I qualify to receive. I was counting on this service to provide what they said they would do, verbal and written.
