Wild Blue Internet Satellite Company Extreamly Poor Slow Service & OVERPRICED Internet |

I have been using Wild Blue Internet service for some time, at least 2 years, and from day one is the poorest service I have ever had the displeasure of paying $70/month for. Why not switch you ask? Because there is nothing else offered in the foot-hills of the Blue Ridge mountains. I recently tried to downlaod a large file. Download began at around 130KB/sec, after about 90MB of the download, it was down to 30KB, after 150MB the speed was now at 17KB. All you ever are told about this is "your connection is not optimized", "please download and run the Wild Blue Optimizer" and after doing so, no change in the performance. In fact it got worse,. I made 3 attempts to download the file, than I gave up. I called Wild Blue Tech Support and was never able to speak to anyone other than their automated system providing a message every 10 minutes or so about how they were experiencing high call volumes. I got frustrated and hung up after 20 minutes, than I went back on line. Now my new home page is Wild Blue's site, which took a full 30 seconds before the WIld Blue page would even display. So I navigated to the Chat with Support link. I got connected to a Wild Blue support rep. I ask why my speed started at 130KB than droped to 16KB after about 90MB, this rep couldn't even tell me what was wrong other than to speak the usual crap "have you run the optimizer". This person kept saying you need someone more technical. I got frustrated and hung up. I have made several complaints to this comany in the last 18 months about poor performance of this supposed "Business class service" and have never once received any kind of satisfaction. I used to have a dial-up service that I cancled that was faster than this. This is a serious scam. If anyone decides they want to initiate a class action suit againts this scam company, I will gladly join in! |
