We placed an order through Modchipstore.com on 1/19/2011. There was a small error in our shipping address so I emailed immediately to make sure it was corrected. I received a response very quickly saying "no worries", they would take care of it. Yeah, "no worries" we would be taken care of all right! My credit card was charged the following day. One charge for a small amount of 27 cents, I guess until they found out it was a legitimate account. Then they charged the total balance owed. Why the 27 cents in addition to the cost was charged is a mystery to us. Unfortunately, we waited until the 15 days had passed to check on this "retailer" since they said they would not check into emails from customers until the alloted time to ship was met. Believe me, I emailed them on numerous occasions but at first didn't even consider we had already been ripped off. We have never been through anything like this before. I can assure you this, we won't be taken so easily next time! There are hard working people in this world who get ripped off every day by scum like this. They are sitting around with no legitimate income trying to come up with the next scam, laughing all the way to the bank. The only way this is going to end is if there is some kind of legislation that allows consumer protection agencies to compile a list of retailers who have committed fraud at least 3 times. This list could be put out by computer to the banks and credit card companies so when a charge is attempted it is flagged and stopped immediately.
