I purchased an ASUS netbook 1000HA in Feb. The USB Ports do not have the ability to change the ID number for my device. After hours on the phone with customer service, they can not change the USB port number. Here is what else to avoid: the keyboard fell apart in about 6 mths and they sent me another one. About the last 3 mths, have had problems with the screen going crazy with different colors and freezing..It happened once in a while, now it happens 6 to 8 times a day. 2 of the USB ports don't work anymore on the second computer. I spoke with CS, who is a supervisor, and I emailed her a picture of the screen and she told me to fax over a copy of the receipt. I Paid over 350 dollars for this piece of junk. I want it fixed or a new one. Every attachment uses the USB ports so why can't I get this to work? there are alot of problems with this screen thing going on that I have read from others having the same problem. they said they are aware of the problems but I still have to pay for it because it was 88 days out of warranty from when I called. thats less than 3 months! Custer Service called me today and spoke with management, and they said I have to send it in and PAY for the repair because it is only a 6 monts warranty. Well, I am just now 1 mth past, and this is a lemmon.
