US Passports 123 ripoff incompetant terrible Pompano Beach, Florida |
10th of May, 2011 by User514334 |
Today I spoke with Ed and he claimed to be the highest level of management, short of being the owner. Which I highly doubt since he is completely incompetent, rude, and apparently unable to transfer a phone call. Regardless, their refund policy, 10-21 days is absurd! I also work in online sales and when we tell a customer your refund will be processed with 10 business days, we usually have it done and posted back to the customers account within 5 days. So for future reference, perhaps they should tell their customers "your refund will be processed in 21 days." Save themselves the breath it takes to say 10 to 21. I imagine it takes so long to process a refund because they probably have more order cancellations then completions. |

Passports 123 is a complete ripoff I agree...I thought I was going into an "official" government website, if you look at their website it looks very official. After filling out all the information and paying $129 for the expedited service I was then directed to the "official" government website, I was completely confused. When I called US Passports 123 (one hour later ) I got a recorded message telling me t hat I had to leave a message which I did, I received a call the next morning from Vincent who was very rude. I was told that they would be keeping $50.00 for canceling the service and would receive a refund for the balance of $70.00. If they are so honest and upfront about their service then why do they make their website look "official"? Because their aim is to trick honest consumers...So lets see, $120 for their expedited service and then $179 to the US Gov. for my passport...Remember, you can get an "expedited" passport through the "official" US Gov. website...This is my first passport ever, I made a mistake which is now costing me $50.00 |

BEWARE:
Passport 123website is very much a rip-off! The site looks asif it is a government entity that was set up to assist in procuring a pasport. I signed up on Jan 17, 2012 and was charged 129 dollars for what I thought would be my application for the passport.
After gathering all the items i needed to file for my passport, which took me until May I finally out of confussion and fusteration went to my local Post Office only to find out they don't know what the Passport 123 charges where for. I paid the post office and the US state dept an additional $140 to complete my Pasport application which included a photo for $15 with a white background, I had photos with a grey backbround and was told by the Post office they were not usable since the background was not white. Pasport 123 did not specify a white background picture, just another part of my getting ripped off!
I finally called Passport 123 on May 15, 2012 tomy money refunded since I did not use any of their so called services, I was told that it had been too long and no credit could be given! Now that didn't sit well with me since I didn't use the services, I would have been happy to get back the refundable portion of the fee which is $79, but was told by the rude service agent that that would not happen! I wish to warn you about using this company since there ethics are highly questionable and my request for a refund was met with too much aggresion by the person on the other end of the line. PEASE DON'T USE SUCH A FLYBY NIGHT [email protected] |

My name is Michael, and I would love to start off by saying how much US Passport 123 is a RIPOFF!!! If you have reachered this site before you started the processing fee than you are one smart person! I on the other hand did not do so (50.00 lost for nothing!!). This fee is done right when you make the payment with your credit/checking card! I am not a person to complain, but I felt the need to let people know as soon as possible. Just go to a US Post Office to get all the information needed to complete the passport process. I have never been so upset with myself; however, lesson learned "I will never trust any Internet site without reading the pros and cons of it". I just hope you were this smart in the first place! |
