I was locked out of my car, so I decided to call a locksmith to unlock it. Searched in google for one and got the advertisement for http://www.run-local-locksmith.net/, went to it's page on my cell and saw the $15 locksmith service within 15 minutes. Called them and asked about the service and they said it would be $15 to have cash or credit available. About 30 minutes later, and locksmith calls me telling me that he got was about to get on his way. He arrived at my place 30 minutes later. So and hour has passed by after calling this service, he looks at my car and tells me that it's going to be ~$160 on top of the $15 to unlock my car. I explained that the person on the phone said that it would be $15. He stated that the $15 was just for scheduling the service call and that no service was included. I explained that this was not what the person on the phone had said. He started to haggle with me saying that he could do it for $110. I declined, and he said he wanted me to pay for the service call. I told him that the individual in the phone said $15 for getting my car unlocked, my car was still locked, so the service that I was offered was not completed and that I would not give him any money. He threaten to put a lien on my vehicle. And after haggling some more and trying to get some money off me, he went back to his car. Then, the company called me and told me that if I did not pay they would call the police on me. I told them to go ahead, and that we would work it out once the police got here. Took a picture of the plate of the car of the locksmith for my records. The driver left and it's been a few hours and the police has not shown up. After the fact, I called my insurance (probably what I should have done to start with) they put me in contact with a locksmith. 15 minutes later and $50 + $10 tip, my car was unlocked (in a couple of minutes worth of work). With the $50 reimbursable by the insurance company. I do have to add, that to start $15 seemed like a low price for locksmith service, last time something like this happen several years ago, I was charged $30. So a low price, but not unbelievable low.
