OASIS TRAVEL CLUB Gas Coupon Offer Phoenix, Arizona

Received a call several weeks ago offering me $200 in Gas coupons if I would subscribe to a travel and road service at $29.95 per month. I gave him my credit card # to cover the 1$ shipping & confirmation fee but did not give an expiration date of the card. Then, I started to feel uneasy about this so I declined the offer and was then switched to another sales person, more persuasive than the first.
I told him that the CC# I gave him was invalid; he said that they already checked it and it was valid, now they needed the expiration date - which I would not give. I let him go on for about 10 minutes before I told him NO, I definitely was not interested.

Today, I received another call from Oasis Travel with an even more high pressure marketer. As we talked - or he talked and I listened - I checked the Web for reports on Oasis Travel. There were more than I could read - all said the same thing: a high pressure scam.

I let the caller go on for about 15 minutes as he kept adding incentives to the deal and making more arguments about why I should trust him. All he wanted was confirmation of my CC expiration date and my address. He could not give me a web address but did give me 2 telephone numbers I could call. When I asked him to send me an e-mail with the info so I could sign-up on-line, he said he could not do that as the internet was not a safe place to do business. I should just trust him and give him my info over the phone.

ANyone who works that hard to get your CC info so he can give you something for free is probably not legitimate.
