Paypower Visa Card prepaid visa card, paypower Internet
25th of Oct, 2011 by User100995
I got the temporary card and had my paychecks direct deposited to it. The permanent card came in the mail and it had a different number on it. So when my paychecks got deposited to the temporary card I would just transfer it from that card to the other. I went on a trip and my cards were both froze. The company kept saying they called my number numerous times to contact me, which they didn't. I had to call over a dozen times and my card was still frozen. I got stuck while traveling. Not to mention, my paycheck went on my temporary card, that I didnt have with me, and they wouldn't unfreeze this one either unless I had the number, they couldnt just look in their system and verify that it was my card that I transfered money to every week. This has been the most irritating and rediculous thing that has ever happened. It shouldn't be such a pain to use my own money when I have given this company everything they ask for and they are still holding my money, and I am stuck in a different state without my funds. Having no money and my paychecks direct deposited to this company that wont give me my money is tragic. I am stuck and they have done nothing to help. They just give me a reference number and tell me they will call me, yet when I call back they say I gave them the wrong number and someone else answers. After I get my money off of this card, I will not be using this company at all!

I've had absolutely no problem dealing with PayPower. I find dealing with them to be much more convenient than going through a conventional bank. It sounds to me like the user above has had a series of complications that could be easily prevented with some common sense. After switching from the temporary card, why wouldn't you change your direct deposit information?! If you know your direct deposits go to the temporary account, why wouldn't you make sure you have that card on you at all times? Also, I've had absolutely no issues dealing with customer service either online or via the phone. They've always been extremely friendly and eager to help. My guess is that this guy isn't giving the full story.

The problem with these online scam forums is that any moron can post a complaint without having to verify that the party involved is actually at fault. If you're looking at Paypower as a possible alternative to the sleazy banker down the street, I would highly recommend them. Just make sure you have the intelligence of a lima bean so you don't run into the problems of this guy.

When you are dealing with REPUTABLE card companies. You dont have to do anything but spend your money. There is NO reason ANYONE should have to transfer money from a temp card to a permanent card everytime a direct deposit hits. THE CARD COMPANY IS FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR SWITCHING EVERYTHING FROM THE TEMP CARD TO THE NEW CARD, NOT THE CUSTOMER!!! On top of the some random person posts We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with PayPower. Please email cs@blackhawk-

I agree paypower is a total scam or either looking to steal information, because I had my tax return deposited to paypower and they held my money. I asked why and they told me they needed to veryfie my idenitiey I did as they asked and they are still holdimg my tax return. I see kno real reason for any prepaid card company to hold anything that I worked so hard for. I have 3 twin girls that I have to take care of and now I have to have the I.R.S pull my deposit from them and wait a whole month just to get my money. And may I remind you I filed my taxes in janurary. And it is now the end of march going on april. And the reason its taking do long is because I have to wait for paypower to release it through there system and wait to be processed all over again. I will never again get another prepaid card let alone some dumb company called paypower. I dont kno who paypower think they are, or have any rights to anybodys money besides the person it beling too. If the I.R.S felt NO wrong what makes it okay for them to make any decesions. THIS COMPANY ARE VERY SNEAKY AND LOOKING TO STEAL IF YOU DONT TAKE CONTROL. PLEASE TAKE THEM OFF THE MARKET. And also I found out im not the only complaint according to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU
