I would like to say first of all, there are very many wonderful people at this company and that includes the drivers pretty much. I went to there school and had a great time and they taught me alot. they sent me home for 3 1/2 weeks,at that point i started looking for another job because i was running out of money. but finally i got out with a trainer, a flatbed one. No big deal though i love physical work and he was an excellent trainer. Then the 2nd trainer was possibly close too the worst human i have ever been around, he would yell and swear and purposely try too scare me and several occasions i almost walked out and went home. But i thought ok only a couple of weeks of this and i will be done and have my own truck so i can deal with it.
Then i got my truck finally, it was a hunk of junk but still i was happy and i'm new what do i care this is what you have to go through to get better equipment. I ended up spending about 50% of the time in the terminal broke down and in my first month i was towed in 3 times. It was a lemon was all i think i just got unlucky. so then i asked when they would send me home since i had been out 15 days with the trainer. i stayed out 28 days, cool np but i had no gps,no clue and naturally my weak point is maps,etc. But i did get home to get a gps, by then i had spent most of my money so i waited until the next time to get one. I had an ok dispatcher....at first. Then she turned into satan or something, have no idea why as i get along with most people rather well. I was late for a few loads,but mostly due to the no gps and bad directions,etc etc. i can count maybe 2 loads that were my fault for being late on.
So basically in the end,they pulled me into the office and tried to write me up for 11 things, some of which i had proof of. one was being towed into there terminal,the load was late,obviously it was no longer my load and it was there equipment broke down so,ok. i even got breakdown pay LOL. even with proof of that one,they argued it. I told them i will have too further pull my logs and look into these items i was written up for from 4 MONTHS ago and let them know which ones i would agree too. of course i already had a good idea which ones were my fault and which not. I knew in the end i would be terminated and i knew most likely why....because they made alot of money off of me and wanted too collect the money from the school too,hey why not i mean i made a total of 5k in 6 months after taxes. Oh and lets not forget the $250 bonus that they can deduct from my paycheck if i don't complete my full 6 months. Yes that's right 9 days before my 6 months they decided too terminate me and a day before my court date which i had requested 3 weeks ahead of time to have the day off. They told me i had 45 minutes too pack get on a bus and they will mail me the rest of my stuff and deduct it from my check. I said um no i will find a way home and take ALL of MY belongings with me,in the end i did just that. SO basically they are turning into a scam school just like the rest. Unless you are from Wisconsin i would not recommend there school or company for that matter. This is only half the story too! Good luck to you all in your endeavors.
