Nicholas Reiffin Elite Painting Service LLC Con Artist Painter Lies, Cheats and Leaves Half-finished Job Aurora, Colorado
27th of Apr, 2013 by User967886
Not even an old friend can get a good deal from con artist painter, Nicholas J. Reiffin (“owner” of Elite Painting Service LLC and/or Brothers Painting Service LLC). We made the mistake of trusting Nick to paint a few rooms in our house and had high expectations based off of what Nick said and promised. Unfortunately, Nick was all talk and completely unreliable. What was supposed to take two days grew into a three week odyssey fraught with no-shows, late arrivals, excuses and downright lies. Specifics of what happened (or didn’t happen), include: We paid him $700 for paint of which he spent only $350. He promised to buy all the paint he needed at once then would bring it back to our house, but that never happened. Because our friend never bought enough paint to begin with, by the time he finally got around to “finishing” the last room, he didn’t have enough to cover the walls. Instead he watered down what little paint remained resulting in one of the sloppiest and shoddy paint jobs we had ever seen. When we asked Nick why his painting was riddled with thin spots and speckled with areas that had no paint at all, he tried to blame everyone from Benjamin Moore to the store that sold him the paint. Never once did he surmise that spending only half of the materials money and watering down the paint that he did have may have caused the problem. While Nick is a horrible painter, he is a professional liar. He lied about the amount of materials he purchased, the amount of paint coats he put on the walls (one coat seemed to be enough for this guy), he lied about days and times that he would come over, and he lied about giving us back some of our materials money once we called his bluff.
We may never see the money we paid this “painter” ever again and we will have to buy more paint and possibly hire someone else to fix what Nick Reiffin did. At this point all we can hope is that no one else becomes a victim of Nicholas J. Reiffin, Elite Painting Service LLC, Brothers Painting Service LLC or whatever other name he calls his company in two weeks.
