National Auto & RV West Coast Exporters Sold an 'as is |
8th of Jun, 2011 by User695141 |
My husband and i purchased an 'as is' toyhauler from Mark Wyatt at National Auto & RV. Mark was not at the business when we arrived and he had to keys to the trailer. It took him 2 hours to bring the keys to us, however he knew we were in a hurry because we live in Las Vegas and had to return to pick our children up from school. Mark insisted that the trailer was in "perfect working condition" except for a few scratches on the outside. When we went to use the trailer 2 weeks later we discovered that the gas line had been cut, debris shoved down the toilet and the battery fuse was melted. I contacted Mark by phone and he told me he would pay for the gas line and to send a bill regarding the other issues and he would look into reimbursement. After 3 weeks of no contact I again called Mark and he stated that he thought I damaged my own trailer to get money from his company. He refuses to give me his manager's name and intercepts all my phone calls. After arguing with Mark that if he sells and 'as is' trailer he needs to specify exactly what is wrong with the trailer, he agreed to pay for half of the repair bill. When Mr. Wyatt discovered that I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau he stopped payment on the check and we had to pay the bounced check fee. I believe National Auto & RV IS responsible for the repair bill, even if the trailer was sold as is I as the consumer should have been made aware of the damages. I also believe they are responsible for the $35 check fee that we had to pay, and I still want and am entitled to his boss's information. |

This lady's story grows wackier every time she tells it. The bottom line is they bought a used toy hauler and it was "as is". Three weeks later she called to complain about maybe $100 worth of repairs she claimed that it needed. We agreed to pay them to make them happy and she still complained to everybody and place she could and can. The BBB checked into her complaint and commended our dealership for offering to pay when we didn't need to and closed the complaint. End of story. We have no other complaints from anyone. We are an accredited BBB business. |
