Massage Envy Criminal Membership Policies Salt Lake City, Utah

I signed up for a membership at this business after trying to just pay by the visit but was almost harassed into getting a membership if I wanted to continue to go there in peace. I signed up for a 6 month membership. After the 6 months was up I didnt think much of it after that but low and behold the continued to charge my account for the membership for 2 months following. I went in the make sure the membership was cancelled and they informed me that I had come in after another billing cycle has begun and I was be charged for another month which meant I now I 3 massages accrued. They also informed me that I couldnt cancel the membership until all of my massages had been used. I have a very busy schedule and I had to go yet another month of billing and accrue yet another massage before I could use all of them and I ended up paying $200 more than I had planned.
I had one left and convinced them to let me cancel so this cycle would not continue and the specific worker agreed to do so. A month or so went by and I hadn't worried about it since I knew the membership was cancelled but that I still had 1 massage left to use. I called to schedule the massage and they informed me that I had to use the massage within 30 days of canceling and that the massage was now void.
I am, to say the least, very angry with the shady and nearly criminal policies of this company and will never return nor recommend anyone to do so.
