Manor Teak Paul Allen Total scam - teak garden furniture - moved from UK ,used to be Wessex Teak and PTC Imports, Orlando, Florida |

Manor Teak has been setup by Paul Allen and Mark Allen - orginally from Essex in the UK, where they ran a company called Wessex Teak. If you do a Google search on Wessex Teak you will see a very long history of complaints against them. They have multiple County Court Judgements against them, but have fled to America to avoid payment to consumers like me who have been cheated out of hard earned money. Please avoid them - they WILL take your money and not deliver your goods. They WILL lie to you about delivery. They WILL swear at you down the phone and threaten you. Once they have finished in the US, they will simply setup in another country. Save your time and money and buy elsewhere. |

Ditto from me. MY CCJ will kick in this week when they will fail to show up in court & therefore be in breach...sadly they are beyond the UK court's jurisdiction now so avoid trading with them at all cost. Their unfair trading practices go back years...so many people have lost money. |

Yes, I have been a victom of Paul Allen scam. I have been waiting for my furniture for two months. How such business can operate on web in US/Orlando/FL freely? Why authorities in Florida did not shotdown this operations? |

Paul Allen IS a cheater. Manor Teak even don't have any information in the White Page. If you google their address, you will find out it is NOT an office address. He will lied you that they do have a warehouse in the northern Florida... He even pretended tell you that he will ship the order to you as a sign of good will and then you can mail him a check to show the faith he has in his products. When you send him the email asking for the tracking number, he will NEVER reply you forever. You will know how lucky you are to avoid a trap. So away from this guy!!! |

ok, I also, like others did not know there are such massive differences in teak. I just fell for the "direct from manufacturer" bullshit. The furniture arrived and it looked fine at first. Thought I bagged myself a bargain. Also told me there is no difference between grades and he said his was full machine made. (which it is not). Anyway, a week later, the table started warping. One corner of the table was 6 cm higher than the other. It was horrible. When I called, Paul said it was normal for this to happen. I then did a search and found this article: http://www.farawayfurniture.co.uk/teak-furniture-advice.htm and realised I have been conned. 6 of the 8 chairs developed faults such as joint failure and loose slats as well as the table top being completely unusable. Now also have a CCJ and have since bought a proper set from Faraway. It was quite a bit more expensive, but I rather have a good quality set then a cheap rubbish. at the end of the day, £800 is still £800 and £800 too much for firewood. Don’t waste your money, do your research before buying cheap. P.s saw same sets on ebay for same price, not sure if its another paul in disguise? |
