I placed an order on Feb. 10, 2011 for a custom-made scooter for my son's birthday. I was told at that time the scooter would take about 7 business days. After two weeks and hearing nothing, I called and left a voice-mail as well as an e-mail, requesting an update on my order. I heard nothing. I repeatedly left messages by phone (no one ever answers the phone directly) and on-line, and NO RESPONSE!! NOTHING!!. For weeks! And weeks! Well, here it is April 14 and I've received a total of one e-mail from Gary, the owner, on April 4, saying he had tried to e-mail me but maybe they went to my junk mail account. Also, the scooter was ready but they had not yet received the money. I immediately responded that #1. I check my junk mail account daily, and #2. the money had been taken out of my bank account on Feb.11 so if they didn't have the money, who did?! That was it. I've heard nothing since despite my almost daily e-mails and voice mails. I'm at a total loss as to what to do to resolve this. If no one answers voice or e-mail messages, what does one do??!! Let other people know about the horrid business practices of this company, that's what! These people are totally ignorant about how to run a business. It borders on illegal, in my opinion. I mean, over two months and no contact, product or refund. REALLY??!! How they are still in business, I have no idea. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT ORDER FROM KOTA SCOOTERS!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!
