Kent County Water Authority is still in the stone age,who the hell carries cash or owns checks anymore! I have heard too many stories about KCWA, and their lack of excepting Debit/CC cards.... KCWA is playing a game, knowing that many people do not have Checks or cash anymore. So they are now making more money shutting your service off , reaping the benefits of charging you a fee to shut-off then a fee to turn back on. Many of the people I know ( Including myself) pay for everything on-line . This is done with a Credit or a Debit #(are you reading this KCWA). I do not know who is in charge , but it is high time you step down. Get with it !!!!! Paper shows that credit card/Debit users win, not cash users CC's acceptance is a must (I found this on another anti utilitiy company blog).... Often an unscrupulous utilitiy companies are trying to evade taxes of several types by only accepting cash. They can more easily choose not to report the transaction. If they do charge the customer sales tax, they can keep it for themselves. Or if they don't report the transaction and don't charge you tax, they still get to evade their year end business taxes and any other taxes that are based on the dollar amount of their sales.
