Formerly known as Polaris, Inc. Operating in New York City, these group of scammers have moved to New Jersey to spread evil, to scam recent college grads and those who are in great need of a job, currently assuming the name Jersey Solutions, Inc. While the economy is trying to recover from decline and those who lost their jobs in the last couple of years are desperately trying to find a decent job, it is heartbreaking that there are these people who prey upon the desperate jobseekers. Just like when it was Pollaris Inc., Jersey Solutions will tell prospective scam victims that they are currently working with Quill which is a daughter company of Staples, targeting medium to small-sized businesses.
They will tell you that it is a three-tier interview process. The first one is when they call you to come in for the first time, ask you typical job interview questions, and tell you that if they are interested in you, you will get a call between 2-3pm. For sure, you will. Then you will be asked to come in for the second interview which is spending the entire day (9am-5pm) with a supposed "corporate trainer" who is basically a "desperate jobseeker" just like you a few weeks back but is now promoted after making a sale of $2000 in a week. What is really bad about this company is that if you ask them about compensation and benefits prior to getting into that car to start "begging" people to buy coffee and paper from Quill, their answer will be, "save that question for lunchtime as the trainor you are shadowing will answer all your questions." But the thing is, who in their right mind will go on with the entire process after learing that you will not be compensated for any work you do, they only give you about 20% in commission and that's all you make. You pay for your transportation (gas) and you will not be reimbursed by the company. My corporate trainer, when I asked if I will be reimbursed for gas my car will burn for all that travelling, she toold me "Yes you will, You will write that off in your taxes" I was not sure if she thought I was stupid to believe that that was actually a "reimbursement", or she is stupid because Uncle Sam and not Jersey Solutions, reimbursing me at the end of the year is not the "reimbursement" that I was asking about. Either way you look at it, it was stupid. I would think that the only reason why most of the young job applicants fall for this kind of scam is because they will try to bribe you with a quick promotion. But what it is really is that they encourage you to work hard for them soo they will have more money in their pocket and they will change your job title to "corporate trainer" but with same 20% commission and a 20$ bonus (wtf is 20$???). Then after that trainer stage you will be an Assistant Manager which they also call Senior Partner (imagine you having such prestigious title without actually investing in the company??? sounds good, another reason why kids like to be scammed by this people) I knew from the moment they emailed me back to schedule an interview that the company is a scam. First, I googled the company name to see if the company has a website, they actually do (jerseysolutions.org) it was a little bit shady already so I googled the name of the "boss" who will interview me the next day and there it is! the entire Polaris Inc NYC scam and the dude's complete name attached to SCAM! At first, I couldnt believe that normal people can do this to other people so I told myself to just play along and see what the scam is all about really, and thats what I did! and this is where the whole experience took me. Overall, I found that the structure of the business itself is ridiculously stupid it's l like "let me work you to death so I can make a lot of money sitting in my office, then we'll find somebody else to work for you while you sit in your office", and the process goes on forever. I highly doubt that this system will be able to support itself in the long run. The company has zero investment. They do not pay workers, they do not invest in transportation, phone, benefits, health insurance, even business cards but they are more than willing to just take money from the worker's hard work. They have 100% profit from 0 investment. The one on the losing end is the new recruit. They do not provide health insrance, they just "reimburse" every month for up tpo 150$ of health expenses. The other thing that was very suspicious is that they will not do drug test or background check so any convict can get a job here. All you really need to do is go around door to door sell pens, papers, food and beverages to small offices and they will call you "Account Executive". You are only responsible for for "acquiring new clients". You get that 20% commission without extra pay on that first sale you make, plus 20$ "bonus" for having the client open an online account with Quill.com, then you get another 20$ bonus if these clients "reorder" online, and thats it for you. All the sales after that, you will not benefit from. Your role is to get them clients at a meager commision only pay. You will use you rpersonal car and will not be paid for gas and mileage, you will use your personal cell phone and you will not be paid for minutes, and you will talk your clients into having you use their fax and copy machines and computer with internet access to process orders since the company will not provide for this. They will only be responsible for collecting the money you make them. From New York City, the formerly known as Polaris INc. scam sales company is now in New Jersey spreading havoc.
