"Contractor looking for sub to install"
Is typical of Miss Jane Harrison interior designs
Jane is bolstering her prestige as the sweetest design & interior expert to NYC Home Owners.
But Jane is not SWEET she is a different type of hustler. Though she may have some conditional design abilities??? but who doesn't with the new autoCAD software installed on any computer in fact an IOS download to your iPhone and wallap right there and then a client can be impress with a new design or redesign of his/her kitchen or bathroom.

Jane saw my ad on Craigslist for anything from handyman to high-end cabinetry. After our first discussion I got into details about my past experiences and general contracting and interior design Manhattan apartment history - Soon Jane was more than willing to contract with me as the right guy to which she would sub all her upcoming apartment jobs.
She immediately booked me for an appointment to join her to view what be my first job - a small project to include Kitchen Cabinet Installations.
I caution before I go to a job I would draft a contract as the rule and basis for our new contractor/subcontractor working relationship.
On the day we met to see the first Job we had coffee and proceed to see the first job where we prepared an estimate.
Jane prepared the estimate and agree that the job will pay me $1,200 for the complete installation of kitchen cabinetry upper and lower includes demo, clean, prep, repair and reinstallation of sink and plumbing faucets, re-attaching gas stove/reinstalling gas stove and one 6"cubic refrigerator also remove and reinstalled.
In addition to the above Job Work Order the entire kitchen must be painted 2-cts including Ceiling and the floor must at least be semi-redone clean and an overlaid vinyl.
I further rendered my ability to do this job base on the fact miss Harrison's promise of many upcoming jobs and that our contract will guarantee these new jobs.
I've explained to miss Harrison in our phone interview, in a reply to her first inquiry and upon our first meeting to discuss my working ability and availability timeline. Each of these interviews and in my CL add which miss Harrison replied to - Was specifically stated that though my experience is great and my references are high-end and good residential manhattanites - That I was restarting my work in the construction and interior design household/apartment industry and I do not have the complete assembly of tools but fit for large projects such as full interiors wall-to-wall/floor & carpets etc.,
Which is why I caution in my add on CL that even HandyMan work such as light electrical, plumbing small cabinetry etc., would be what I'm willing to start with as I re-fuinish my Tool Room.
Miss Harrison postpone the contract and went ahead to schedule the first job which herself and I confirmed together.
I do not have an Idea of what Miss Harrison estimated the Property/apartment owners on this the above listed "Small" job specification.
But about one week after I received a call from Miss Harrisson as she was about the purchase the Cabinet for this kitchen - which deems me true in saying she confirmed the contract with the client - till now I have no contract with miss Harrison or JaneHarrisonDesigns.com or any payment in the form of a deposit etc.,
Miss Harrison however demanded that I allow the cabinet to be delivered to my location for free storage until few days at which time Its my responsibility to re-deliver the cabinet to the customers location for commencement of installation.
Long story Shortened - I said I was ok with storing the cabinet even free at my midtown apartment building basement but I ask to reconfirm with miss Harrison - Who is going to pay for its delivery? At that point everything Sort-of-went South.
Its occurs that its suddenly my responsibility to pick up the cabinet, store the cabinets and re-deliver the cabinet and also do the job of completing this Kitchen Cabinet installation project. for $1,200 No Contract & No Deposit.
In my add on CL for construction handyman job I stated that because I'm small and just starting again in the interior construction business that it would take me more time to accumulate much thats needed so small jobs are prefered from the beginning but my contract will also state that a price or transportation cost will be applied for traveling to job estimates. Even if its $2.00 I will charge this amount and if I get the Job it will be deducted.
I further said to Miss Harrison in my suggestion to include all of this in a contract and I will certainly review that contract and at that time I may choose to add transportation and storage cost to the installation cost. Of certainty Miss Harrison what not kind to this statement and further began issuing her lengthy rhetoric on "with All due respect - if I am doing this job I should do this or that, and her work with all subcontractors includes hauling or transportation and its all included in the price given for the installation.
I hung up on her after I said to her that she needs to find herself another subcontractor to install her cabinets. then end....
If you used miss Harrison or plan on using please cautioned her to work honestly with you and or her subcontractors - I'm getting the impressions she is become the revolving door for subcontractors and she is using Craigslist and Angieslist for incorrect purposes. or maybe she's on something....I can't tell really.
