In my opinion, Honest Engine's is guilty of very poor business practices. In my opinion, they are the most dishonest people I have ever dealt with. I purchased a truck from them through financing. I had the truck for 6 months and it was broken down 5 times in six months. I would call and let them know the truck was broke down and they would always tell me the tow truck was not available and I would have to tow it myself, so I would. They would keep the truck for 10 - 15 days at a time and lie about not being able to get the parts. I once went to the parts store and the guy told me they have not attempted to get the part from them. The last time the truck broke down it took them 13 days just to pick it up. They let the truck sit for another 12 days before they ever touched it. No one ever called me. I waited 30 days and called to aks what is going on with my truck and they said it was in repossession, which is another lie. I watched the truck sit in their lot with the hood up in the rain for a week. My payment was due on Saturday, I was not able to get there before they closed on saturday and they are not open on Sundays. Monday morning they had the tow truck that is not every available, there to pick the truck up. The payment was barely 1 day late. A friend told me, they charged $4000 to repair his car and they did not do the repairs. Should be called Dishonest Engines/ The name Slickey's is very appropriate for this company.
