Home Depot- Not a consumer friendly or customer oriented - I think- , this company has managed to pull off the scam of all scams with me. While attempting to place an order with this company which required several months of planning - including a company measurement of my kitchen- Home Depot FIRED me as a customer. Not my credit card mind you- just the Kitchen remodeling job. Their reason- THEIR measurements were not consistent. What a surprise to me- and also the Kraftsmaid Company who I have also contacted- that this company who expounds their own virtues in customer service cannot deliver in expertise. Home Depot was a complete disappointment to me and my friends who wished to re-do their kitchens and bathrooms. The "kitchen designers" who barely knew their way around the computer program that they use are mainly the scapegoats of their "keystone cops" type management who decide which kitchens are not in their level of expertise. Anyone who owns a kitchen understands that the cabinets are the most integral part of the design- who doesn't want a spice rack or a place to put their microwave? Who doesn't want a kitchen designer who knows the basic dimensions of a sink? My stove was not replaced by a slide- in- this concept was constantly re-visited ad-nauseum!It stayed on the drawings until the end! What about centering and lining up the cabinets? What about waste receptors- he knew nothing about them. I felt like I was drawing for my child in pre-K. After working for nearly 2 months on a design- I was called by the "general manager" Teresa- who incidentally is not a manager at all and only a stand in, with a honey dripping phony platonic attitude proclaiming that"Home Depot would not be able to provide services to me". Additionally- they sent a letter from corporate wishing me well but stating that-"they would not be able to provide my kitchen cabinets". Was this a ploy so that I would not report a questionable $20,000.00 credit card charge to my AMEX on a $12,000.00 design with no signature or contract-or simply a way to divulge themselves of a project they could not handle. You be the judge- Something smells in Pinecrest- |
