This sounded interesting to me so I followed the instructions: registered, reviewed the contract, completed it and e-mailed it back.
On November 11, 2010 I received this followup e-mail:

All the assignments are supposed to be fulfilled in a quick way. Qualitative reports mustbe done as well. Please, confirm you are ready for work. Thanking you in anticipation. Ok, this was fairly simple. I began to have my doubts.
On November 18, 2010 I received the following e-mail: Good day, Allison Gabriel.
We have received your contract and have scrutinized it carefully. You are the person we need to do this work. HR department has approved you for this position. You'll receive check today totaling to $ 2830 .

When I received this e-mail, I immediately sent the following response:
I will be glad to complete this transaction, as soon as you provide the funds needed to do so. You can western union those funds to me, using the information that I provided on my contract. I look forward to hearing from you when the money has been sent, so that I can pick it up and complete the transaction. Thank you, Today, Novemberr 19, 2010 I received a check in the mail in the amount of $2830. This would be just enough money to purchase the iPad and then wire $2100 to the designee above. Upon receiving this check, I began doing more research into all of the companies listed on the envelope and the check. During this search, I was not able to find a US Bank located at 1350 Euclid Ave in Cleveland, Oh. In addition, I was able to find a web site for CBT Payroll Services, Inc, located at 711 5th Avenue in Naples, FL, owever there was no way for me to be able to contact the company nor any of its three owners. This is when I came upon this website, where it is very apparent that this is a scam. It is unfortunate that there are individuals out there that would take advantage of others wehn they are down. I have been out of work now for 10 months and my future is looking very grim. It is possible that I could lose everyting that I have because I am not working. Having to deal with situations usc as this does not make this battle any easier for me. So, if this information helps even one person to stay away from this type of a scam, then I have done my part. I hahve made sure that I retained all correspondence with tis group of people, including the check that I have received. |
