| This company is something else. I answered a craigslist ad to by a used landscape truck in hopes of using parts to fix my own. After talking to the owner, Bill Halpin, it was explained to me that the vehicle could not leave it's parking space until I it was licensed and insured. In agreeance with the legality issue for his landscape and nursery business, I started the vehicle, examined it and made an offer of a payment to obtain a sticker to test drive it. My offer was accepted. The very next day, I was informed at the DMV that his papers were improperly filled out, there was a lien on the title and a plethora of other issues. It took some time to get Bill to correct these issues, having to do the legwork myself. Fast forward two weeks, I finally have all the documentation to obtain a sticker to take this vehicle on it's test drive, all the while being assured of how great of condition his landscape truck was in. I drove this vehicle six blocks to the nearest shop where I had an ASE certified mechanic look at it, only to discover everything I was told was good on the vehicle was junk! My mechanic told me it was worth the cost of scrap. I drove the vehicle back to its rightful owner only to find him not around. The Lanscape and Nursery truck was parked, me with no worries of getting my money back, and Bill laughing all the way to the bank. After much time and hollow promises, many a recorded phone call later....I was informed via voice mail that I would be recieving no money back for the vehicle, nor the vehicle itself, as he had RESOLD it to someone else!!!!! The attitude that this voice dripped as though I was a good ole MONTANA HONKEY!! Good thing I have a bill of sale and the original title! Shame on me for being so trusting and unwise to the ways of the out of stater. This is what gives those big city boys a bad name. Shame on Greenspace Landscaping inc. for blatantly stealing from me, then saying "you can't do anything about it". And shame on my small overly trusting community for elevating this mans company into a profitable business and not seeing the scam in his business dealings!! As my company and I have a great reputation in Bozeman, and indeed, am known for not talking ill about other companies to elevate myself, this is my first public outcry, but enough is enough. I will make it known through the many business's that my maintenance company maintains, as well as the building side of my company, of this character and his dastardly dealings, after all, I could be maintaining a lawn or some shrubbery that has been a provider of profit by deciept and misrepresentation, not to mention the poor client that gets stung by such malice. Please note my company and name below, it can also be found on the police report, (public record), filed this coming week. I have nothing to hide, i am the victim. I recieved nothing, this company recieved money. I will be reporting these shady dealings to the city commission as well,(also public record), as this company has bid many times on city projects, as well as tried to obtain permits. It's to bad this company had no problem lightening my wallet through trickery, now I will attempt to lighten their wallet through word of mouth by facts. |
