We paid for a landscape design & plans. George came and spent hours with us. He suggested that we spend $250,000 to $500,000 for the project. He insisted that you always get the money back for these kind of upscale improvements. He seemed to lose his enthusiasm for the project when I said I wasn't spending that much. He sent some employees to our home to take measurements. The design and plans were never completed or delivered. We called numerous times and even sent certified letters demanding a refund. Eventually, we took them to small claims court and won a judgment against them. We had to pay for the Sheriff's dept. to go to the store to attempt to collect. However, we have been unable to collect on it to date as apparently they don't have that much money. Several years later, George read my negative reviews and got a conscience - for a short time. He tracked us down, apologized, told my husband a sob story about why he stole (accepted our money, but failed to provide services). He promised to make good on things and said he'd give us landscape work at our current home. We wanted to discuss this, or take a trade in merchandise from his gallery. He never took our calls again and we never heard from him again. |

This is not factual on many counts. The Garden Gallery was performing plans, true. We accepted 1/2 of a plan fee which was based on a large project, as stated by the client. True, I did spend hours and we did send people to the site to generate all the measurements and detail the scope of work. As the meetings went forward, it became obvious the intended project was not going to continue. We backed away, that is true. We did not attend a Small Claims court action and present our case, a mistake on my part. We would have not been giving a dime back. "Hell hath no furry like a woman's scorn." Think that is where this evolved. I never tell a client that they will get all their investment back, is anyone that stupid to believe that to begin with??? No clients that I have ever had. I tell all clients that the improvements have to be done in regards to how they want to live and entertain. Period. This is over $1, 250.00. As stated in this erroneous complaint, not sharing we never went to court, part of an earned fee, or any portion of a fee is the time you spend with the client. Now, it is Peter that never got back to us, not the other way around. That is fact. They could have come to the gallery any time, seen my wife, or myself. I wanted to make them whole as much as possible. That is the truth and I frankly am not worried about who believes it or not. It is one thing to attack someone, like using the word "stole" our money??? That never happened. Even at her own admission, much time was spent, people came to the site. The project did become very diminished as we saw it was not going to be the project we understood at the beginning. The purpose of a low plan fee is a lead in to the work itself. I do not believe we were mislead, the reality of cost finally dawned. The clients moved out of this home, are now in a residence elsewhere. I was more than willing to meet at the gallery or their home. They have had my cell number, it has never changed. Peter, you know the truth of this. You are the one who never came to the gallery or never called me after the last time we spoke. I am a bit overwhelmed that you allow these half truths to be placed on line. Or, you have no control. The latter must be the truth. |
