WORST CAR COMPANY IN UTAH!!!! DON'T BUY FROM CAR CITY OF UTAH THEY ARE THE MOST DISHONEST CAR COMPANY AROUND>>>TOOK MY SENIOR CITIZEN FATHER FOR $9000+ ON A LEMON CAR THAT HAS ENGINE AND CHASIS PROBLEMS.
They lied about damage to the back of the truck until my sister found a 2" gap behind the seat below the window then they admitted that an engine had smashed into the bed, which in turn smashed into the cab of the truck causing the 2" gap. They promised new tires, new suspension, and then sued my senior citizen father when he didn't want the piece of junk. This is the very next morning!
THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS AND MORE IMPORTANTLY LIARS THAT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SENIOR CITIZENS FOR THEIR OWN GAIN!
My Senior Citizen Father went into Car City of Utah located at 3165 So State Street in Salt Lake City and was shown a truck that Car City of Utah just raved about. Mind you, my father can't get in and out of cars very easily and relies on a cane to get around. His mobility is limited to no more than 20 feet without having to take a rest. So, he takes the truck out for a test drive and asks the manager in the truck with him why he hears so much air coming into the cabin and why the truck bounces so much and the guy simple says, "It's an old truck and all will sound like this!" Truck is a 2004.
He buys the truck thinking that these are honest men and that they wouldn't lie to him because he can't get into the back of the truck to check out the problem himself. He takes it to my sisters and she see this huge 2" gap behind the back seat between the bottom of the window and the actual cab. He tells her that they promised "their word" to put new tires on it and to fix the suspension. They didn't do any of it! He took the truck back the next day and they admitted that an engine had slammed into the back of the truck bed and pushed the bed into the cab that created the 2" gap. They said they would fix the problem and slathered 2" thick bondo on the back of the truck and called it good. When he questioned them about the tires and suspension, they simply said, "If we didn't put it in writing, we didn't plan to do it!" Again, "their word" isn't worth the dog poop!
He tells them when he sees the repair work they've done he doesn't want the truck and he will pay them for the mileage he put on the truck, all of 30 miles, and they tell him they will call him. He hears nothing from them until he receives a certified letter from their lawyer stating they are going to sue this senior citizen for "damages" and the cost of the car and law fees if he doesn't pick up the car immediately. Of course my father beats himself up because he is in his own words "old and senile and can't even buy a car for himself," when it really comes down to a dishonest car company taking advantage of senior citizens. |
