Shoo-its mountain filas / Paul Schuetz Boogus breeder. Dogs with no papers. Turtletown, Tennessee |

Paid $1200 for a puppy we were told was 6 weeks old. Sold to us at 2-3 weeks old. Never got papers for her. The mailing address is for a PO box down the street. Paul live just up the road. Massive amount of puppies breed, from just a few adults. Feed like crap. This is a puppy mill with out all the cages. They were kept in a basement in cinderblock walled in units. Cold and dark. Do not buy dogs from him. It only promotes the further sales of non-register/paper animals. And in my opinion our dog does not have the hard temper of a true working class Fila.

Total B.S. I bought a Fila from him years ago & I had her for 14 years. She was a healthy purebred. I traveled to his place in Turtletown, TN. His Log Home is at the Top of the mountain Surrounded by a 8 ft. tall Log Privacy Fence. HE DOES NOT KEEP ANY OF HIS FILA'S IN CINDER-BLOCK WALLED UNITS. His back yard is All HUGE Kennels with grass and insulated dog houses. All dogs were in Excellent condition and were kept in clean living conditions. He cooks all of their food himself and purchased Excel Dog Food. He questioned us about what we would be feeding the puppy we bought from him. He cares a lot for his dogs & his wife shows them in dog shows. The female brindle puppy I got from him was from Show Champions Gabriel & Mariah . I saw every dog he had on his property and got a tour of inside his house. I spent over 5 hours there talking about Fila's and answering his many questions. A back yard breeder never asks questions and doesn't show off all of their trophies and ribbons. They only care about the money and not about what kind of homes their puppies go to. I DID GET PAPERS & VET RECORDS FOR MY PUPPY & SIGNED A CONTRACT. I also read the papers for both parents. He was referred to me by another reputable breeder in North Carolina. My puppy was the exact age he said she was "8 wks", I had the pick of the litter. I never had any health or behavior problems with my Fila. Word of advice, before you buy any dog from a breeder. PICK THE DOG UP IN PERSON SO YOU CAN CHECK OUT THE BREEDER & THEIR KENNELS. LOOK AT THE PARENTS, THE OTHER DOGS ON THE PROPERTY, THEIR LIVING CONDITIONS, WHAT THEY ARE BEING FED, GET THE PAPERS, CHECK THE PARENTS PAPERS, ASK QUESTIONS, BREEDERS SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE A LIST OF QUESTIONS FOR YOU. A GOOD REPUTABLE BREEDER WILL TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR BREEDING & NEVER INBREED. THEY NEVER SELL THEIR DOGS TO JUST ANYONE! One Very BIG MISTAKE you made was NOT Checking the Breeder Out First & NOT Picking the Puppy Up IN PERSON! You can always tell a Fila is a purebred by checking for it's crooked tail. |
