Freshstart Living Ltd Fresh Start, Andrew Camilleri, Bankrupt, Property, FSL Bankrupt running a Limited Company Internet |
3rd of Jul, 2011 by User352128 |
Hi There,I've recently come into a lot of money via a death in my family and am looking to invest it in property. Looked on the internet a few weeks back and came across this company - Fresh Start Living.I spoke one of the sales guys on Friday 1st July at FreshStart Living and asked who was the Managing Director there and was told it is Andrew Camilleri so I went away to do my due diligence on him.In the insolvency register (www.insolvency.gov.uk) It says that Andrew Camilleri is bankrupt, I've provided the link belowhttp://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir/IIRSearchNames.asp?court=SALF_Salford&courtname=SALF_Salford&office=&officename=&OPTION=NAME I've spoken to my solicitor and he said that if a Managing Director is bankrupt then he can't be a Managing Director or have anything to do with running the show at Fresh Start - apparently that is illegal.I called Freshstart Living back again and spoke to a person with a very broad manchester accent called Paul and asked him who the managing director was again just to make sure and he confirmed it's Andrew Camilleri. I then asked him whether Andrew is in the office so I could speak to him, Paul told me he wasn't available but that he is really passionate about the company and around alot and manages the whole company and will meet up with people if they come to their office.I put the phone down because I got massively concerned that not only is the managing director bankrupt but after looking at previous comments on here a lot of people where saying bad things and that the company has countless accounts set up on companies house - it all looks very dodgy. Has anyone on here bought from Fresh Start Living? Am I getting this wrong or should I stay away?I've got over 2 million to invest and need to ensure I invest it in the right way! Please Help! Bob |

Firm rapped over claim to sell one property every two hours
ESTATE AGENT TODAY
A property firm which claimed to be selling one property every two hours has been scolded by the advertising watchdog.
FreshStart Living Ltd, described by the Advertising Standards Authority as a property management company, claimed on its website: “We are currently selling an average of 1 property every two hours, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.”
However, a complainant challenged whether the advert, which appeared in August, was misleading and could be substantiated.
The firm sent the ASA a screenshot of their logging database that recorded dates of exchange and maintained that they had sold 360 units in June 2011. FreshStart Living believed that the screenshot substantiated the claim. However, the ASA failed to be convinced and upheld the complaint.
The ASA said that the screen shot of the logging database showed seven individual exchanges only, and a series of numbers in brackets beside a few specific dates in June that added up to 360.
The ASA ruled: “We noted that we had not seen documentary evidence that demonstrated that the sales claims for each of the dates were genuine. We therefore considered that the claim had not been substantiated, and concluded that the ad was misleading.”
The claim must not appear again in its current form.

I’ve bought a couple of 2 bed leasehold flats in Bispham House. I was actually scared from all these comments and went back to Bispham to have a look months later. The 2 flats were good, one already rented out, works for the parking bays and the entrance of the building were going forward slowly, but they were going forward anyway. Maintenance is poor, but I even think is difficult to maintain it right with all students coming and going day and night. The main issue for me now is: they are not willing to pay the rental guarantee. I have to push them over and over again, and now they are 3 months in arrears. I could understand (although not approving) if Bispham was unlet, but it is by now completely rent out! I will ask back the keys and provide a proper letting agency to let my flats |
