I did my part. I asked all the right questions before commiting to Dish network. such as...
Will this meet my needs? (then listed my needs in a system)
Answer, "Yes!"
What do I need to do to have my billing date where it needs to be? I was explained how it works, and when to call back. So I did.
The first day after instillation I seen the two room DVR did NOT do as it was explainedto me of how it would work. It couldn't do what it was advertised by the sales person as able to do. Or what I asked point blank if it COULD or CLOUD NOT do.
I asked ifI couldrecord a programand watch a different programon the first TV and also recorda different program and watch a different program on the second TV at the SAME TIME?
Answer, "Yes!"
If it could dothis I wouldn't have needed two DVR's so I think to myself it's awin win. Then I learn after the man installs it NO it can not do that at all. I call the next morning less than 9 hours later and lodge a complaint of the misinformation that led to me ordering the equipment that did not meet my needs. They were pushing that I need to pay a total of$115 dollars to upgrade and fix a problem not of my fault. I pressed them untill they agreed had I not been told this outright false information It made sense I would haveselected two DVRs instead of the unhelpful one I didrecieve. They upgraded my equipment to meet my needs. However I now learned that my payment due date IS ALSO NOT as I was informed it would be. It would now fall just one day before I am paid each month. Meaning I have to budget a month in advance to have the funds in my bank account for 30 days before billing.
I again explained what I was told and that it did not match with how they are approaching the practice. The answer was wait two years cancel my service and restart it to meet my desired date of billing. Billing dates to me are importantI need them to be after the third. they said " you missed that window by one day." I did what the sales person told me and I still was told it is my problem. There is no Fix or Option.
Where is my protection from false advertisment? Did I take things at face value and did the contract explaine all false information. NO it idn't and yes I did take what the sales person said at face value but that is thier job and I expect them to know my needs and how to meet them when given facts of my expectations in a DVR service. This is not a way to start a business relationship.
DoI think Dish network needs a class action lawsuit. Yes. I would go through it and expect no compensation exceptjust to see them have to pay for the gangster way of business they practice. SadlyI think my situation has no grounds for suing them.
I can't prove a conversation I didn't tape but they did. I can only warn others beware. They say one thing they do another. the contract DOES not cover every nuance you may need so there are many gray areas they will exploit and bully you over. |
