We ordered this set online for $400!!!! It was exactly what we were looking for, we thought! It took about 15 days to recieve it by freight... I opened the box that evening to find that one of the wooden seats had a huge deep gash in it, the legs were missing drill holes where the support dowel was to go in on 2 chairs, and the threading inside the holes that the screws are to go into to be able to attatch the seat.


I immediately called customer service, who was very nice, and transfered me to returns/replacement orders dept. The lady was nice at first.... but then ended up telling me that it would be another 10-15 days before I recieve my replacements. i asked 3 times to speak with her supervisor, at first, she refused, telling me that she would only tell me the same thing. Then, she places me on hold for 10 minutes, comes back to tell me that she is unavailable, THEN, she puts me back on hold because I was very upset by this time, and SHE comes back pretending to be her supervisor!!! I told her I could tell it was her, and she hung up on me! So, I called my husband. Who calls them, and she hangs up on him. He calls back, gets someone else who is VERY nice and appologizes and says he will send us an email with what our itemized refund will be after returning the product. (Whats there to itemize if I am getting refunded?) Shipping, which came freight, and a "restocking fee" ....


We get the email, and read what I typed above, so he calls back saying thats not going to work...Im either going to have a functional dining set, or ALL of my $400 back. The guy tells him he will send us something so we can ship it back for free and waive the restocking fee so we get the full $400. Never received such thing. What we did receive was another email for Steven K, acting as if none of this other had happened, and we just wanted replacement parts. Email stated, we need pictures of the damage, and that he was informed, that we had drilled holes ourselves, and if the product has been altered, it would not be replaceable. (No one told them WE did ANYTHING to it....not sure where he got this info)


Not exactly a great experience. We have never ordered furniture online, and never will again. We will continue to make our purchases locally... if youre from katy, check out
