My wife took her BMW in for a new computer. The car was already diagnosed by my mechanic. He wasn't able to replace the computer because he had no way to program it once he was done. This can only be performed by a dealership. While the car was in the shop, we were told the computer was fine. The car (only) needed a $1,500 throttle body. I thought it was a little strange my mechanic would misdiagnose something, but stranger things have happened, so we approved the work to be done. When my wife pulled her car out of the shop, within 4 miles it warmed up enough to start acting up again. She drove back to show them that they didn't know what they were doing. They said they would fix it right if we left it with them, but we didn't trust them after that. It was too expensive to have someone guess what the problem really is! We then took it to my regular mechanic. He ordered a computer. Once it arrived we took the car to a BMW dealership in North Scottsdale. My mechanic replaced the computer and we pushed the car into their shop for programming. After that the car worked perfectly fine since. But, back to Chapman BMW! We wanted our money back for their incompetence, so we took them to small claims court. Case #CC2009742389SC. After winning the lawsuit in court, Chapman BMW still never paid their judgment against them from February 10, 2010 Not only is Chapman BMW incompetent with their service work, they do not pay their bills either. Anyone who wants verification review can go to www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov and enter the case number. You will see what kind of worthless business Chapman BMW really is. I am sure there are other cases that have never been paid as well by Chapman BMW. Those of you who use the Better Business Bureau, (BBB) to check on businesses should save www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov in your favorites. The BBB can be bought as shown on ABC news; http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/business-bureau-best-ratings-money-buy/story?id=12123843 courts are part of the law and can not be bought. |
