Carbonite Doesn't Always Work, Techs Don't Care Internet
13th of Sep, 2011 by User530595
Carbonite is advertised as always being able to back everything up. Twice before, it worked fine. But this last time, it did not--and Techs weren't concerned. All of my Outlook files, folders, emails, contacts, calendar, tasks, were lost. I have a business and those files were my brains, my memory, my notes on communications, etc. Several restores didn't work. I had to call them 5 times for a technical service rep to help. One tech cared, but he had to transfer me to a higher tech who did not. 'They're not there' was all they could say and never gave an explanation or suggestion. A few pst files were there, but they had no idea why all of them weren't. I don't think much of Mozy backup because son-in-law was disgusted that they want to charge more later for additional program. But I'm looking for another back-up company!
