| I heard about Smart Lipo and was interested in getting it because it did not require being put to sleep. At the consultation, I told the consultant I have a neurological disease and this is why I chose to try this procedure. She assured me that this is why this is so excellent for me to receive it. Next, she goes on to state I was a good candidate and told me how much the services would cost. I asked again about how the process was done because she said "minimal down time". I asked her what she meant and that is when she declared the process is done through a similar practice like a dentist. We use the same anesthetics and therefore, you will be out and about in 24 hours. I said, ok and thought to myself, I go to the dentist a lot and have never had any problems with the anesthetics used there so this should be ok, right? Of course she said yes. I repeated several times, I must make sure that you are clear of Myasthenia Gravis and that certain drugs can exaserbate this disease. She reassured me that I had nothing to worry about. Three days later, check deposited and cleared, the doctor who would have done the procedure said there is no way he would touch me. So, I said since he rejected the case because death would have been what I would have gained due to my disease I appreciated him saying no. However, I would have even more appreciated a red flag from the "hungry" consultant who wanted to make a sale. Nevertheless, I felt this would be an easy refund. No, it has not been. I got to a nurse who appeared to know nothing about the business side, but did reach someone who has been in constant contact with me via e-mail but was new to the company. She explained to me that Axiology purchased Nu U and all of its drama but was not the same company I had later read about on the BBB. She stated they were trying to fix those issues but could not honor much of their vouchers because those were administered by Nu U and they had different price ranges for similar work. I totally understood but I did my business with Axiology and NOT Nu U! I have been very patient but don't have $7,500.00 to give away and really just want my money back. Why would they think they would be ok to keep it, if I did that it would be caused theft. This has caused me to now search for another recourse to retrieve the money owed. I thought they are in Lincoln Park, this is the ivory coast, big businesses no sleezy back alley type business but I am seeing the same trend as I see from the complaints provided on NU U. |

| I contacted and subsequently went for consultation with NuU Medspa and paid a 3000.00 deposit for Smart Lipo. Since that time I have paid another 3000.00 and scheduled an appointment for service on Feb. 23, 2011. That appointment and 2 more have been cancelled lost (meaning they had nothing on the books). Due to my dissatisfaction with how my service was being handled I informed Lex, one of the employees, that I am requesting a refund. He asked me "WHO WROTE YOU UP, " and implied I needed that information to begin refund process. By the way when making payments I wasn't asked any questions! I have not received a call from anyone and when attempting to contact someone in authority I was put off with promises to have someone get back to me. Not only is this company inconsiderate in handling appointments considering most of us need to make arrangements to be there and have subsequent recovery time they appear to be committing fraud by accepting payments and not providing the service. I recommend not giving this company any money because something is very wrong. The receptionist claimed she only knew the first name of the vice-president an no one is available to discuss a potential complaint. These people are horrible in handling customer concerns or just theives. |

| Girl, they are horrible. I used to work there and you would not believe how, many horrible complaints there are. Ur right, by selling services that they cannot do is fraud. They cant even afford to pay their employees. |

| This company is currently run by the same people that ran Nu U Medspa, they just changed the name to keep from refunding all the other people that didnt get service, took the money an ran!!! beware of the scam and they doctors who have been on drugs and alcohol and had there licensed suspended working on you. and dodnt fall for the bull, ask for Rawlins Apilado if you need your refund!!! |

Do not fall for their sales tactics! They will tell you ANYTHING and with a smile. If for some reason you cave, read everything you sign. They usually will only transfer your deposit to another service. As crazy as that is, they expect someone who paid for lipo to suddenly be interested in hair removal!
It is true that the surgeon is on probation.
It is also true that they will give you Dysport even though you paid for Botox. They "sell" Botox but do not carry it.
It is also true that these ARE the SAME owners and management of Nu U Medspa...only the name has changed.
It is amazing this company is still in operation!!! They show no respect for others. Good luck getting a refund. |

The VP of the company is Dan Lumello, consultant is Angela Castillo, call center lady Linda and Kristy. Lex is the guy that answers the phone rude and is an idiot. Since you worked there Atmos6969, how can we proceed with a refund? |

| I am so sad to come to know the harsh reality of this spam company only a day before my surgery. My suspicions were increasing day by day and now after reading this forum threads I am so duped and taken aback. I am duped and hoodwinked completely now. Today was my operation day and I went to the schaumburg address they gave me during pre-op. The security guard told that this office is closed and there is no axiology/nu u spa center there.
I am completely angry and irate this day as this is my first experience of being duped in America in the last 4.5 years of my stay in this country.Dont understand what to do now and where to file a report of skulldrugery

| I paid for 6 sessions of Laser Hair removal, and I have 3 sessions left, I scheduled an appointment less than a month ago and showed up today @ NuU/Axiology in Chicago only to find them shut down and the number out of order. | Please contact me as well. I also sent a letter to Lisa Madigan's office because I had smart lipo and am horribly disfigured as a result. The dr, who I later found out, was on probation at the time of my surgery. He told me that healing with lumps was normal, but canceled all of my follow up visits. I also paid for my sides to be done, and he did not do my "love handles." I paid for that and he claimed that he completed all that I paid for. I knew something was wrong when I showed up for an appt at the Schaumburg location in mid August, only to discover the signs were down and no one was present with the exception of a woman doing laser hair removal treatments. | I ended up filing a complaint at Attorney Lisa Madigan's office. I want to see the end of this company called axiology, . I am surprised to see that they are still fooling people successfully inspite of their cheat character. Has anyone visited them recently at the armitage office ? |
