I heard about Smart Lipo and was interested in getting it because it did not require being put to sleep. At the consultation, I told the consultant I have a neurological disease and this is why I chose to try this procedure. She assured me that this is why this is so excellent for me to receive it. Next, she goes on to state I was a good candidate and told me how much the services would cost. I asked again about how the process was done because she said "minimal down time". I asked her what she meant and that is when she declared the process is done through a similar practice like a dentist. We use the same anesthetics and therefore, you will be out and about in 24 hours. I said, ok and thought to myself, I go to the dentist a lot and have never had any problems with the anesthetics used there so this should be ok, right? Of course she said yes. I repeated several times, I must make sure that you are clear of Myasthenia Gravis and that certain drugs can exaserbate this disease. She reassured me that I had nothing to worry about. Three days later, check deposited and cleared, the doctor who would have done the procedure said there is no way he would touch me. So, I said since he rejected the case because death would have been what I would have gained due to my disease I appreciated him saying no. However, I would have even more appreciated a red flag from the "hungry" consultant who wanted to make a sale. Nevertheless, I felt this would be an easy refund. No, it has not been. I got to a nurse who appeared to know nothing about the business side, but did reach someone who has been in constant contact with me via e-mail but was new to the company. She explained to me that Axiology purchased Nu U and all of its drama but was not the same company I had later read about on the BBB. She stated they were trying to fix those issues but could not honor much of their vouchers because those were administered by Nu U and they had different price ranges for similar work. I totally understood but I did my business with Axiology and NOT Nu U! I have been very patient but don't have $7,500.00 to give away and really just want my money back. Why would they think they would be ok to keep it, if I did that it would be caused theft. This has caused me to now search for another recourse to retrieve the money owed. I thought they are in Lincoln Park, this is the ivory coast, big businesses no sleezy back alley type business but I am seeing the same trend as I see from the complaints provided on NU U. |

If u paid by credit card u have 60 days from the time of your statement to report them, and get your money back while they do an investigation. Also, contact the BBB and Attorney General Lisa Madigans office (which u can do online), and file complaints. I was dopped for $2100 got a refund only because I used the credit card. By the way, their Armitage office is closed. Last time I went, the landlord told me that they got evicted and are now facing a lawsuit by him.
I guess they weren't even paying the rent. Terrible. |

I am from Arizona and have got the same run around here with Nu U/Axiology Aesthetics. I also have unused sessions for laser hair removal. I showed up for my scheduled appointment which I had to drive an hour to get to (because they kept changing locations) only to find no one was there and no one answering the phones. im also trying to find out what happened i had surgery mid July then i had my follow up 3 weeks later come to find out number is disc office is closed, then they had a sign that the office will resume after Sept 6, it 's now then end of Sept and still not in business don't know what to do my back has been in pain ever since nothing helps, please if any body finds out anything about horrible surgery center contact me @ [email protected]. |

Latest update : Now the owner of the property (908 W Fullerton Avenue, Chicago) has come to know of Axiology scam. He has filed a litigation with an attorney. He has also put up a notice on the door stating that Axiology has cheated by not paying rent for the entire year. The damages sum upto 60, 000 dollars. Very high amount compared to my 5200 dollars.But I am happy that these scumbags are now getting a chase from attorneys and their real cheat face is getting exposed. |

The latest victim is none other than the owner of the rental space : 908 W Armitage Avenue. He has filed a litigation against axiology because axiology did not pay him rent, cumulative 60, 000 USD. Poor guy I believe he is the biggest victim so far. Now there wont be any axiology contact available at 908 W fullerton center. Wonder where these cheats are now operating from nowadays. But I am happy because their liar scam face is geting exposed more and more. |

Please contact me about a lawsuit as well. I had a chemical peel and it severly burnt my chin leaving some marks and they assured me they would take care of it with microderms, retinol and photofacials to remove my marks. I went for one mircroderm / retinol treatment which i did see a slight difference and then I went for my photofacial. I then scheduled an appoitment for my next session and that is when it all started! I went to my appt and no one was there! No one called me to reschedule and the number i was calling was not working... I then called the number on the website and they rescheduled me and mentioned that the phone system was not working. A few days later I received a call from them telling me that they had to cancel my appt due to shortage of staff and as soon as they were able to fit me in they would call me to schedule an appt. I agreed to it and i have not heard from them since. i called their numbers and they are all nonworking!!! If anyone knows of a lawsuit please contact me at [email protected] 847-663-4317.

Hurray I successfully sued Axiology for half the principal amount I paid them for my smartlipo. I filed a dispute against them around 50 days ago (see my posts above) and here is the great news my bank shared this morning :
Great News! This letter is in response to your inquiry about the transaction
made at AXIOLOGY 201 CHICAGO IL on 06/18/2011 for $2700.00.
Our investigation is now complete and we are pleased to inform you that the
conditional credit you received for $2700.00 is now permanent.

The same has happened to me. I have approximately $1200 of services left. If there is a lawsuit, I'd like to join in action. Absolutely absurd and ridiculous. |
