1DollarScan.com Should be 1DollarScam San Jose, California
27th of Nov, 2011 by User531177
I sent a book to 1DollarScan.com to be scanned which is a great idea. Their web page is difficult to ascertain the price and I thought the price was going to be very low, $3. It was $11 to send the book and I received a request from 1DollarScan for another $21 to scan the book. Yes, there is a massive discrepancy here! I said no, send me the book to which they responded it was a $5 handling fee plus postage (another $11, I assume) for a total of $16 to send the book back. The stupid part is that if I had known it was going to be $32 to scan the book, I would have just purchased it on my Kindle. They should be called 1DollarScam.com. The business model seems to be to entice users to send books to be scanned to PDF and then hold the book hostage for more money. Guaranteed, there is a lawsuit and a State of California settlement coming. DO NOT SEND ANY MATERIAL TO THESE SCAM ARTISTS.
