TBS FACTORING will asses huge fines on you for any reason they see fit. They lost a lumper receipt which I had faxed to them and they fined me over $500. When I called TBS I spoke to a lady named JUDY who was very rude and unpleasant. Judy told me even if I had a fax conformation that says they received the lumper receipt, they still cant find it and perhaps TBS had lost the receipt and they were still going to fine me over $500. I reminded Judy of the phone call we had a few months ago about the receipt and she KNEW I had faxed it to them. She also told me that she did not want to carry on the conversation any longer and that she was NOT GOING to carry on the conversation any longer and she was going to fine me anyway, like it or not. TBS FACTORING LLC will reach into your settlement (paycheck) any time they want and asses huge fines on you. If you deal with this company, be sure to dot every "i" and cross every "t". I have changed factoring companies after getting ripped off by TBS FACTORING..... Bob

TBS Factoring Service response: TBS does not level “fines” on a client for any reason. This dispute concerns an issue of a client not furnishing TBS with the paperwork required by the broker in order to get reimbursed for lumper services. Providing lumper receipts or proof of service is an industry standard. There was no “lost” paperwork but, regrettably, a lost client.
The client had faxed his load documents to TBS for factoring and at that time we advised him that the paperwork was incomplete and to please provide the lumper receipts. The client claimed he tried re-faxing, and again we advised that the receipts never came through. TBS suggested other methods that he could use to get the documents to us via email, or postal service or using our FedEx program. At this point, the client seemed more concerned with insisting that we had them or had lost them, than working toward a positive outcome. It is unfortunate that the client never provided TBS with the proper paperwork even though we repeatedly requested it. TBS was unable to collect the monies owed to this client because he did not or could not provide the required proof of service (lumper receipts). TBS representatives consistently remind clients that it is good business practice to make copies of all their paperwork so they will have copies if needed. We regret the issue could not be resolved satisfactorily for our client.
