Zimmerman Pets - Zimmermanpets.com sold bird and cage, took our money, promised goods after sale, told us our loss Sioux City , Iowa

My family and I had went to Zimmerman Pets in Sioux City, Iowa and met with Sue (Owner) about a possible purchase of an African Grey. She didn't have any babies. She had one that had his toes/nails missing on both legs. The price she required for this bird was way out of line. Since my wife wanted a African Grey so bad, we took the bird home. Sue told us it was DNA'd but supplied no proof. The bird was sold with a bird cage. The cage was missing a play top and seed guards (4 pieces), she told us that she was going to get them from the prior owner of the African Grey and would get them to us in the near future. If she didn't get them back, she would find us something that would work. She didn't have them at the time of sale, that they were suppose to drop them off. We left with the bird and the cage, minus what she didn't have. We waited months later, giving her ample amount of time to come up with the missing pieces to contact her. She said she never got anything from the people. I asked her what she was going to do about it. She told me nothing! It was our loss. Really? We paid for a complete cage, not a half complete cage. I asked her if she had anything around there that would fit the cage. Nope. I asked her if she could refund us money back on the missing parts. Nope, our loss. Missing parts are approx. $100.00 if not more. I seriously, not do business with this lady or Zimmerman Pets as she does not follow through and misleads you.
