READ THE EMAIL EXCHANGE BETWEEN WYNDHAM AND ME - HE AGENT JUST USES COMPANY JARGON, DOUBLE TALK AND DOES NOT MAKE ANY ATTEMPT TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. THE WEEK I WAS OFFERED WAS AN EXTRA VACATION AND HAD A SERVICE CHARGE OF A COUPLE HUNDRED DOLLARS CHARGE ON IT. I HAD ALREADY PAID MY MAINTENANCE FOR THE YEAR AS MONTHY DEDUCTIONS FROM OUR BANK ACCOUNT, AS WELL AS PAID UP THE ORIGINAL COST OF PURCHASE. READ FROM THE BOTTOM UP - Navlin E-Commerce Owner Resolution Division MY RESPONSE TO WYNDHAM / READ LAST PLEASE GO TO BOTTOM OF THIS I wish you would tell me something that I do not already know, With the change this year 2011 not allowing owners to convert to weeks to deposit with RCI, I have lost any real value of the 105,000 points I purchased from Fairfield, who than became Cendent, who now is Wyndham. I was told by your agent that I could not '''bank''' my remaining 13,500 points except with RCI and that the minimum there has to be 27, 000 points before that can be done. Besides, now that I can no longer turn my points into weeks prior deposit with RCI, that is a horrible deal, for me, as you already know, and I have then to pay a fee to use my own points. What can I get with 13.500 ? I had an agent checking for what seemed like for ever and there was nothing. One night in a hotel is insane, a throw a-way, to check in one afternoon and check out the following morning. Your company has manipulated your point system to minimize or totally take away any chance of flexibility and charges a fee for everything now. I know what I did, and that I called. You wrote - Please be advised we do offer programs to help with offsetting your maintenance fees such as converting points to maintenance dollars, renting your points through Extra Holidays and our referral program. No body wants to buy this stuff now days, the market is flooded with millions of unwanted time shares, and they can't even be given away. Unless a couple is locked into a hard-sell brain washing situation, know nothing about time share and points, no body buys this stuff. What is converting points into maintenance dollars ? Giving them back to W to reduce my maintenance fees ? The referral program is totally out, I want my friends to continue to speak with me. In the past when I checked Extra Holidays the cost was very high and I was not told how to '''rent my points ''' and to whom, may I ask ? I hoped you had a buy back system, but I was pretty certain that you did not, or you'd have your owners flock to do exactly that, especially now that you have taken away any possible attractive benefit to owners by not permitting us to convert points to weeks to deposit. I also know that I did all the year before as I have one each year for a very long time and deposit weeks into RCI. My word against Wyndham and that should get big laugh. I actually had the same thing happen with my other ownership, Silver Lake in Kissimmee. I called to deposit my weeks in RCI, hung up believing that it had been done and never gave it another thought. I was alerted to the fact that it Had Not been done while checking RCI and seeing that there were no weeks deposited for me. I called Silver Lake immediately, verified that it had Not been done and did the deposit on the spot. That time it did go through. Your company has cheated me out of a years vacation time that I paid for and also paid the maintenance for. That is simply it. And now I am being cheated out of being able to convert my 105 K into low time weeks and deposit them with RCI so that I have at least a little time of vacation for the cost of purchase and annual maintenance of Wyndham. Shame on Wyndham. Huge Shame on Wyndham. You are just an agent working there, believe me how I know, I did much the same for a world wide company for almost 40 years, and this loss for me should be corrected by Wyndham . I was not very happy before with Wyndham and now, I am extremely unhappy. Take this to a superior in your company and please advise me also who that may be. Tracking number: UT20110928_0000000195 Hello Ms. Rosa, Thank you for contacting Club Wyndham regarding the new RCI change. I apologize for our delay in providing a response to your e-mail. The RCI points chart were updated to ensure that your exchanges are fair and equitable within the Worldwide Exchange program. The points chart has been updated to reflect's todays value. There may be occasions that the points values traveling through Club Wyndham Plus are higher or lower than the point value RCI requires to exchange to that resort. The Worldwide External Exchange points chart represents an average of points at all the club Wyndham Plus resorts based on demand and unit types collectively. While the points values in the new chart does not match each of our resorts exactly,it is a much fairer representation of the actual point values defined for our resorts. As Wyndham Vacation Resorts does not have a resale or a buyback program, we encourage you to carefully research any timeshare resale company you may be taking into consideration. Please be advised we do offer programs to help with offsetting your maintenance fees such as converting points to maintenance dollars, renting your points through Extra Holidays and our referral program. A review of your account shows that a call was made to our contact center on 05/18/2010 regarding your 03/31/2010 Use Year points. This was after your points has expire. WYNDHAM has taken my ability away to use any weeks now by not allowing me to convert my points to weeks before depositing in RCI. Now, I can't even get one week with my deposit and before I was able to get several, even though I had to pay the RCI exchange fee. My points are hardly worth anything now, thanks to this change. Will Wyndham take back my points ? They are not really any bargain any longer to us and it is just frustrating to try to manage being in the Wyndham system with all of the zillion regulations & rules & restrictions. I don't want this anymore. Do you have a program of taking back these 105 ,000 points ? Also, to add insult to injure, the year prior, I called to convert my points to weeks to deposit with RCI and it was never done, never recorded, so you have taken those points away and I had nothing for that year - no points , no deposits in RCI, and you got all of my annual maintenance fees. I was told that I never called in to do this transaction, but I did,] > |
