WORKOUT CENTER WORKOUTCENTER.COM AVOID PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY~ESPECIALLY THE KNOCK OFF BACK2LIFE MASSAGER Vancouver, British Columbia C |
4th of Nov, 2010 by User975007 |
This company is knowingly selling after market Back2Life massagers. They manipulate the consumer by advertsing the Back2Life with the Genuine Infomercial material on their website, which is a copyrite violation. They lure/trick the consumer into buying the Back2Life through them by advertising it as the best price on the internet for $174.99. What they neglect to inform you is that these Back2Life massagers are not authentic. I purchased one of these "authentic" Back2Life massagers from this company. Yes, the box says Back2Life & it looks authentic, but when you try to assemble it, the top part of the base will not properly attach to the body of the machine. I called the company and spoke with "Sean" who I am only assuming is the owner becasue he is the only one I have ever spoken to during my four seperate phone calls. He did NOT sound suprised at all about my problem, which SHOULD have raised a red flag for me... So, the top would not connect, then my husband plugged it in only to witness the thing go up in smoke! After speaking with "Sean" I was 1st instructed to take/send pictures to verify the damage.
He specifically told me to throw this machine out and he would send me a new one...fair enough...or so I thought. The second machine arrived with essential parts missing. I called WORKOUT CENTER immediately and again spoke with Sean. He told me I would have to send the machine back AT MY COST TO CANADA. I was also instructed not use UPS so they avoid the surcharge when a package enters Canada. I was also told that the price of the shipping for the 2 DEFECTIVE MACHINES WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM MY REFUND...So, Just to recap, I paid $174.99 for a defective piece of junk. I had to pay $27.00 to send this worhtless piece of plastic back to Canada at my cost. When WORKOUT CENTER gets the junk back, they are going to deduct God knows how much from my $174.99 for the cost of shipping the After Market product to me in the first place! I also did some research and found out that they altered their return policy/instructions specifically for the Back2Life machines...I guess they were getting WAY TOO MANY COMPLAINTS & RETURNS~They specifically changed their policy from a 30 day returen policy to a 15 day policy...JUST FOR THIS ITEM. I guess they know that if by chance ONE of these Back2Life massagers actually assemble then work for someone, it won't last more than 15 days and then they are FREE from any responsibilty~
Bottom Line is: I WAS RIPPED OFF~I WAS TRICKED INTO BUYING THIS BACK2LIFE BASED ON FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, THEN WHEN THE PRODUCT RECEIVED WAS A DUD, THEY WANT/EXPECT ME TO PAY FOR SHIPPING IT TO & FROM CANADA~
I don't wat this to happen to anyone else...AVOID BUYING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY~OR YOU WILL SURELY GET RIPPED OFF! |
