I was married to this man for several years. I met him through his half brother. I left my home in Alabama and moved to Indiana where he was serving in the military to be with him. At first he was very sweet and kind. He told me he had been married before, and almost married another time; but both women were :"mean and didn't really love him". After we were married for about 2 years, he began to mentally and physically abuse me. He would not allow me to call my Mom on Mother's Day because his Mom was dead. I was stuck in a horrible marriage with no way out; 400 miles away from my nearest relative; and no money to call my own. He had one of his "mad periods" one night and closed himself in the bedroom on the phone. I later went in and hit the redial button. To my suprise it was the gay/lesbian hotline. I confronted him with it; and after he beat the H@ll out of me, he told me he had been used by a boyfriend of his mom's when he was a kid. That is sad, but it does NOT give a 30 year old man an excuse to beat the h@ll out of his wife! I am posting this only because I know he is still out there trying to have relationships with women. Several years after our divorce, he e-mailed me through classmates.com and told me he had "found out" he was gay. And was STILL engaged to be married to "a woman who understands him". I had heard from the woman he was with after I left him, and she told me he beat the heck out of her, too. I just want women to be on the lookout for this "man". He plays on your sympathies, and is a true jerk and wife-beater!!!!!
I thank God that I never had a child with this monster! J
