I had been receiving last change calls for about a year to get interest rates as low as 6% on all credit cards Finally decided to listen, big mistake. Talked to Randi. She asked me if I wanted to save money but first how much do you owe on what cards. I gave her my info so she could check. Oh yes we can save money. Transfered me to someone else. She asked me if I wanted other cards added, we can put them on too. I gave her that info, plus my SSN#, DOB & said we can put your husband on it too. She asked if she could record our conversation, I said yes. She said it looks like your Discover card would be the best one to use. For $295.00 I guarantee you that you will save $1500.00 a year or you will get your money back. I hesitated & she said everybody wants to save money, right. I still hesitated, she said they would set up 3 way conversations with all my card holders & negociate for lower rates. I finally agreed. She said she would get back to me to get started, this was 2-19-13. I waited a week, heard nothing, I called, she was busy. Donna told me she would have her call me back. No call, I called them, busy again & would call me back, never did. So on 3-7-13 I called Donna & told her to cancel this & refund my money, as I had looked on my Discover & seen that she had taken money on 2-19-13 & had done nothing on this. Donna told me it would be reviewed & could take up to 60 days. Today I called & they turned me over to Mark. He told me that since I was disputing the charge that I had violated my agreement & that I was not getting a refund for any reason. I asked him what agreement & he said I said I would not dispute this charge, which I did not say. A dispute was never mentioned while I was being recorded, he say yes it was, he said hold on & I will play it for you. He never came back on phone. I had already notified Discover in late Feb. what had happened & they said I am not responsible for this charge while in dispute & it is still on going with Discover, I talked to them today. This Mark person was very rude & said you are not getting your money back. They have not done one thing to earn the fee they charged me, so I have been scammed again. |
