When I signed up for their web design services, they shut down their office and cut off communication. After 3 weeks of no returned emails or calls, I emailed my main contact, Helen Kim, and requested a refund. She said that she's no longer at the company and that I would need to speak to "Rammy" or "Mike" who are in India. I no longer wanted to do business with these people considering once I gave them the money they didn't care about delivering the service anymore. I requested a refund several times to Mike and Rammy and they ignored me. Said they will call me back and never does. Long story short, I found that they kept the original New York office, kept the same staff, but changed the company's name to "Night Owl Interactive", run by Sun Yi who is Wevio's brother. Go figure. Wevio does not have an operating office in NY, there is only 1 receptionist who picks up the phone and relays all calls to the support staff in India. The company is headquartered in Korea. I called Calvin Yi, the president, in Korea and needless to say he was pathetic -- acting like I was taking candy from a baby. He was emotional, did not want to give me a refund, and found every way to blame me for not being on top of my stuff? Huh? Didn't Wevio close down after I signed up and paid $1900? Who took my money and did not deliver anything? DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. It's obvious that they renamed their company because they stole other people's money and found a way to avoid lawsuits. |

Truth behind Wevio and Night Owl Interactive
Alot of the statements mentioned in your complaint are false. Here are just two that I want to clear up.
False Statement: Long story short, I found that they kept the original New York office, kept the same staff, but changed the company's name to "Night Owl Interactive", run by Sun Yi who is Wevio's brother.
Truth: Wevio LLC has three operating offices -one in Seoul Korea, Hyderabad India, and New York US. Wevio had two owners, Calvin Yi and Sun Yi (not related). Calvin Yi and Sun Yi mutually parted ways due to conflicting interests. As a result of the split, Sun Yi founded his own company and named it Night Owl Interactive and took over the lease of Wevio's office space, while Wevio's NY office moved to a different location in New York. This does not translate to Wevio "closing down" in anyway nor does it mean the company has changed its name. Wevio has just simply moved to another location in New York.
Again, Calvin Yi and Sun Yi are not brothers or any way blood related. Just because their last names are both Yi doesn't make them brothers. For you to be this ignorant really questions how credible your report is.
False Statement: It's obvious that they renamed their company because they stole other people's money and found a way to avoid lawsuits.
Truth: Again, Night Owl Interactive and Wevio are two different companies that exist and operate in their own locations so it is technically not possible for a company to rename its company to another if the two names both still exist on their own. This also means that Wevio is not able to avoid lawsuits because again, they still exist in NY! They are not closed down! Nice try trying to twist the story into your own perspective, but your claim here clearly does not make any sense.
Here is Wevio's company info and address clearly stated on their website: http://www.wevio.com/contact-us/

Please feel free to contact either one of the two companies if there are any questions at all regarding this rebuttal or the false report. |
