In February 2011, I purchased an LG Optimus V android capable phone form Virgin Mobile. I had been using Boost prepaid service and had not had a problem but when I went that day to get an android phone, as I am starting back to school and needed tthe android phone to access school data on the go. I figured then while I am sitting and waiting in appointments I could keep up with my reading and assignments. I had actually gone to the Boost store that day to buy the android phone but Boost had not added one to their inventory and they had a new display for Virgin mobile. VM had the android phone so I inwquired about their service and ended up with the Virgin Mobile phone. Everything went along fine for the most part but from time t time the phone would not be able to access the android market, my external SD card and little things like that. Customer servie told me to just take out the battery and put it back in. I usually ended up doing this many times a day. However in June my phone was dammaged beyond repair., So i called virgin mobile and they said no problem they would send me another phone. It arrived the next day but took us 5 days to get it activated because iit was already activated under someone else's name. Finally straightened that out but was having the same problem with the phone, So they tell me they are sending me yet another phone. After the third non-working ohone arrived then I became very frustrated. I am diabled and live on a fixrd income. I suggested that they either step me up to their next model at their cost or return my money. They refused opting to send me another phone instead. Ater 2 months and phone number 6 that did not work I said forget it. I called wirefly.com and the gentleman was so noce that he helped me go through all of the major carriers and pick and phone and a plan and then choose the plan that fit my budget. Over the past two months I have spent 30 - 40 hours on the phone with Virgin mobile, most of that time I was on hold and each time I asked for a supervisor I would get diconnecteed. The few supervisors that I did speak to were rude and not very helpful/ I believe my new phone and p;an will be much better. As far as I am concerned Virgin Mobile owes me for the price of the phone and at least half of the money I have paid oveer the last 2 months since half of my services did not work. I contacted the head of Virgin mobile and the last two things I was told was read the terms and service aggreement and that I could only get a refund of my phone had I returned it in the first 3 days of service. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN BLATANTLY DISRESPECTED BY VIRGIN MOBILE, BULLIED AND I AM DONE. |
