My wife and I met with the owners Rebecca and Reg Merritt on many times leading to up to our big day. Flowers were very important to my wife and she wanted certain types she was promised. After several meetings, we finalized a deal that amounted to several thousand dollars of flowers. I thought it was alot but she wanted them to be right for her day. As the day got closer, they failed to deliver on promised samples. The day of the wedding, they showed up late for the ceremony and had replaced hundreds of the flowers my wife had chosen with an inferior flower without her consent. She was in tears. Honestly, I do not know flowers, but they did not look what you would want at your wedding. The change of colors was a deal breaker. The reception flowers were no different. I spoke briefly to a few employees who were dropping the flowers off and told them I was not satisified. I tried to call the owners but they avoided my calls. I figured I would wait until the wedding was over to really speak my mind. I had already paid the full amount, so I was surprised to find that I had actually paid extra charges not disclosed to me. When I finally got them face to face, they had no answer and worse, no apology. They also lied and said they never promised certain flowers only said they would try. We had a contract that said different. They refused to recompensate us for our horrible service and products. They tried to give up a credit toward cheap flowers bunches for the next three months. I said no way. I am currently in the process of filing a law suit to hopefully set things straight. Dealing with them in person is impossible because the male owner, Mr. Merritt makes little sense and has no time for someone who has already been ripped off. He's hooking new people to scam. The other owner, his wife, just lies again and again. Do not use this overpriced flower shop. I know I never will and I'm fast spreading the word that these two give smalll businesses a very bad name. Once I have my say in court, I will feel much better, but my wife will forever be upset about what happened on her wedding day.
