You can keep the money for the slow delivery method. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Date: Tue, 1 Aug 2011 08:45:19 -0400 From: [email protected] Subject: Re: Refund Hello, Once a case has been issued a shipping label, packing slip, assigned to a researcher and submitted to the facility, the bulk of our work has been completed and we are merely waiting for the facility to respond - so no refund is possible. We are not responsible for the delays of third parties, the Government records repositories. We guarantee only our own service. For example, there are a number of issues that may cause the delay in a record retrieval from NPRC: 1. A prior order made by the client. The record is then pulled off the shelf making it inaccessible to us until its return. After the NPRC has finished with the chart, it will be placed in a re-shelving area where it may languish another week or two before we can access it. (I assume that this is most likely the case. Why cancel unless you've already received your records.) 2. A government agency may have requested the chart. If the client has filed for a VA claim, for example, the chart may have been pulled. Again, we can't access the record until it is re-shelved. 3. The information provided to us by the client may have been incorrect. So, the client's own actions may be the actual cause of the delay We generally will figure out what caused the delay, but in almost all events, such delays are beyond our control and not a result of our operations - hence no refund is possible, particularly in the case of issues created by the client him/herself (poor/inaccurate information, prior orders, claims). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Aug 2011 08:45:19 -0400 From: [email protected] Subject: Re: Refund What about the EXPRESS DELIVERY charge that I payed to get it faster. Why can I not get this back. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello, Once a case has been issued a shipping label, packing slip, assigned to a researcher and submitted to the facility, the bulk of our work has been completed and we are merely waiting for the facility to respond so no refund is possible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Why offer an express delivery, offer a 7 day money back guarantee and not at the very LEAST give me my extra express delivery fee money back. Any service member who has recently separated and did no receive there DD214 or had a problem with it, call your Military personnel flight and find out how to get a new copy. DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY. I am currently still waiting for my express delivery DD214 from touchstone research. While I have been waiting I have also been reassuring a Fire Chief that I will at some point get my DD214 and post it on USA jobs. Living off of my last Air Force pay check has been very fun i might add. It also turns out that without the DD214 you cant file for medical disabilities through the VA, go figure. Please take it from this E-4 SRA, do not use touchstone research. |
